Besides alley, You were previously designing another mod before you took over the place and that mod looked terrible in my opinion, But using the phrase "Although I do feel tempted to carry on just to see what else they ruined" is exactly in proportions - dev fight?
I'm not sure how your SRP being rejected 3 times has anything to do with me, but okay.
Don't lie, it's all a conspiracy against him and only him!
I'm out of ideas, I don't know how you ended up with that conclusion and i'm completely in a loss. Let's instead focus on things that were actually said - That you carefully avoided to respond.

Well, Alley if it is so easy then, why not making those instead of new systems for example? I realy think people would love to see such an improvement and gameplay, game mechanic inside. Hell, not to mention the Roleplay possibilities on Planets.
You guys could be focusing on turning existing systems into such landable Planetary Systems, how's that? Instead of removing more and more, just turn them into such places. Real thumbs up, that would be great.
You could start with main planets, for the next update.
Such as, Manhattan, New Tokyo, New London, New Berlin, Ile-de-Francais and as a bonus start, Pennsylvania / Planet Erie.
If that's too much, you could implement this on special Planets which has valuable items and inRP exploration value. Like a "must explore deeper" Planet, instead of just from the Surface.
I've not played Crossfire but i've heard a bunch of half decent reviews gameplay wise, and since my desktop is borked at the moment i could probably take a look if my laptop feels up to the task. Any download links going about? and obviously there is one but there any specific add-ons i could also look into that would work with the Discovery shenanigans?, trying to give myself a little more interest in this mod while trying others.
All I know, some guy was able to use the graphics of CF and implement it to discovery without triggering anti cheat and I must say, it looks awesome =P

Because we're cutting down on system count, not increasing it. A "planet atmosphere" is still for all intents and purposes a system. Population density throughout the universe is still lower for every system added whether it looks like a planet or a star system.
The idea is that we're removing bloat, not adding it.
