The 2nd Dragoner Regiment was a military unit which was constituted in 814 A.S. shortly after the Red Hessians formed an alliance with the Outcast. It was recruited almost entirely from disappointed independent miners from Rheinland especially those born on Planet Hannover. Organized at Vogtland Base in Dresden the 2nd Dragoner Regiment became part of an assault group that would launch a series of Attacks against the Corsair.
The 2nd Dragoner Regiment played a huge role in countless battles with the Corsair and eventually became part of a strike force that would fight over dominants in Omega-41. Despite all efforts The Red Hessians failed to gain control over Omega-41.
When the Alliance between the Outcast and Red Hessians suddenly ended in 817 A.S. military officials decided to scale back on number of soldiers dedicated for the fight against the Corsair. While the war between the Corsair and the Red Hessians is still ongoing the 2nd Dragoner Regiment was returned to Vogtland base and disbanded.
While most of the 2nd Dragoner Regiment veteran soldiers returned home to their families some others stayed together and roam Rheinland Space as pirates.
I thought only in necessary situations Hessians fought alongside OC, but there is no such a thing as an Alliance.

There was a very short lived alliance between the Red Hessians and Outcast. At least the wiki says so ...
"In 814 A.S. the widespread Outcast diplomatic mission against their Corsair enemies reaches Rheinland. Whilst all the other unlawful factions deny any agreements, the Hessians are willing to listen to the envoys, and see if the Outcasts can offer them a new edge in the war in the Omega systems. The negotiations, while lengthy, eventually settle the former hostility versus the Hessians and the Maltans with a shaky alliance. The Outcasts reluctantly agree to keep their Cardamine and raids out of Rheinland, while supplying the Hessians with new weapons, ships and designs. The Hessians in turn will attempt to hit the Corsairs even harder in a subsequent push to Omega-15 and Omega-41. The short lived alliance would end after only two years, after the Red Hessians uncovered evidence of Outcast manipulators within their own ranks, and quickly disposed of them."
the only "business" Corsairs have with any of the Communism-based factions (Hessians, SCRA, Mollys) is a healthy trade of weapon's fire. Preferably with cerbs and maybe a side dish of tachyon cannon with a nice glass of solaris... Mmmm now I'm hungry..
Dunno about Outcasts and Hessians though. At this juncture, anything is possible. Up to how the Hessians play it out on their end.
To my knowledge, they've been snuggle buddies in the past.
Historically, such alliances tend to repeat themselves so, dunno. We'll see what happens.
On the topic of the OP:
I advise you get in contact with the people behind the factions you're talking about being buddies with (aka myself as the outcast lead, and Aerelm as the Hessian lead) before claiming to share an allegeance. Most people are usually pretty receptive to this kinda thing but still; common courtesy and whatnot ^^~

Speaking of "Communism-based" factions. Since most of them hate Cardamine (dunno about Mollys), I think they would be holding strict rules about this together wouldn't they? So I'm not sure how Outcast / Hessian alliance, at least now, would work. Maybe in the past, but that's long gone. In the past SCRA - Corsairs - Order were allies too, but that's in the past now. Especially as Tabris mentioned it so nice, every attempt of bringing that old alliance back up would ruin the Faction, I m gonna make the same assumption for this too. So OC + Hessian alliance was in the past and it should stay in the past.
