What was the idea of weakening NPCs through time to what they are now?
Were strong NPCs harmful for player interaction?

Yes, strong ones were very harmful. You couldn't play a pirate on a lane without losing all your regens because the NPCs were so powerful.

Weaker ones are better. This game is PvP, not PvE. NPCs are meant to be (or should be) aesthetic.

This topic has been brought many times in the past and all the times the community was in favor of weak NPCs.

Unfortunately, throughout the years, the dev team had repeatedly made NPCs very powerful. Hopefully this won't happen again.

Indeed good points you brought up there. But my experience constantly leads me to SP-like gameplay. But, surely, it is only my issue.

I have an other issue. I can't say if it's balance or not, but I stand no chance (alone) doing... 400k missions (against fighters). NPCs are as strong as player characters, with unlimited powercore.

Well, at least missions are left hard enough to be challenging.

Aborting the 400k mission because of being dried up isn't fun. It's sadomasochism.

In some cases NPCs are still too strong. Gunboat and Capital Patrols were meant to be tweaked to make them less annoying and meddling in encounters, when will this be applied?
