Earlier today a contingent of Legion forces sent forth by the Commonwealth to clear the Junker presence out of Humboldt successfully engaged and destroyed the infamous base known as Saltese.

A thorn in the side of civilians everywhere and a blight upon everything the Commonwealth stands for, Saltese had been used to extort innocent independent and DSE miners in the Humboldt system for the past three years. Though Lord Commander Locklear, who led the assault, declined to comment on future operations against the Junkers, he had this to say:

"No civilian - miner, trader, researcher, explorer, or even simple vagabond should feel unsafe within the Commonwealth's borders. I think what we did in Humboldt today will make that stance very clear to anyone and everyone. The Commonwealth and the Legion are not to be trifled with."

That's all for tonight. Be sure to tune in for more news from the Commonwealth in the days to come!
