Since the LH shipline focuses on tech and speed rather than raw firepower, design the ship around that of a bottlenose. Though I suggest making a rough sketch of the arcs first and then building the model around it- after all, this is a TS/TZing ship we are talking about. Worry about the aesthetics later and instead focus on making a ship people find comfortable to fly. While you will probably not be involved in balancing it, you can already help by making the design and placement of components rational enough.

For some reason I think even if I do a model, let's say, which will be able to hold full-arcs, those arcs will be limited by whoever does balance. Just because.
Besides, anything that can zoom is buffed up enough that poor arcs won't mess it up.

Well, look at gunboats like the, say, Kus Explorer. There is a prime example of something that was created with looks in mind and no amount of zooming will help it.

The Kusari Explorer is a flying mostrousity , so I don't think that should be used as reference for anything Tongue
Also, first, I think you should try and make the current gunship model a bit more up to date and use new textures on it, cause it might do the trick instead of start from scratch , cause the model itself is not bad, just doesn't have much detailes , and the last time I flew it, it's archs were horrible Tongue
