It is like you are flying through clouds. Even the star resembles our own, so it looks a lot like gliding through our sky in total freedom. And then you spot a blue and green planet, much like our own, but before the industrial revolution, pollution, Chernobyl and stuff. Such a wonderful system.
Wonderful to be torn to pieces by war!
The place is quite stale though. I was thinking of moving the Omega-5 pews between the Corsairs and Bretonia to Omega-49. The Bretonians have a good reason to be there because they have some colony named Port Jackson on that planet, and they are moving refugees there. Those convoys need protection against the Corsairs and the Mollys. Omega-49 is a lot better than Omega-5 not only because it is much prettier, but it also has much less asteroids.
However, the Zoner NFZ, which envelops the whole system, goes in the way. I was wondering if there was someone in charge of the system with whom I could discuss about reducing its radius to just some K around Zoner bases and who I could ask not to bury the thing with tonnes of legislation. The BAF need a second front because the Gauls would be ganked if they fought both them and Liberty, with the current playerbase.
Of course, inRP it would be a small action as Bretonia can't really muster ships for a large one, but in game I would be pleased if I could see fleets beating the God out of each other there.
Reasons number #12523 why NFZs and base laws are dumb for gameplay...
Although, why would BAF and Corsairs need to give a damn? If a Zoner crawls out of a base and starts getting in the way of Corsair and BAF matters, you can tell him to get lost.
There is no ZoI recognized by the Kingdom of Bretonia in Omega-49. The agreement with the Zoners regarding both FP1 and Omega-49's status has been writen some years ago.
We at ExSec normally shoot stuff there with no probs :]
Just to be clear, your asking Bretiona, which is already in a losing battle to the GRN, to open up a new front, which would need to be resupplied via Dublin, in the heart of Molly territory. Further more, opening up attacks on the Corsairs would mean the Corsairs would be free to retaliate on the Bretiona installations on the planets surface. Does Bretiona wish to protect the Refugees, if no, feel free to start shooting things, of course this risks angering not only just the Zoners and Corsairs, but the SCRA as well who would no doubt lay a claim to the system.
The NFZ only really counts for Gran Canaria and lanzarote. the rest of the system is pretty much free space. Generally OSI are considered Stewards of the system but its more to maintain Zoner neutrality. The NFZ doesnt envelope the entire system as the OP suggested.
in regards to O49 conflicts, its more between SCRA Corsairs Coalition and to a lesser extent the mollies. So if you wanted to move the pews to O49 then Bretonian forces would also need to contend with others who also use and lay claim to the system.
InRp as i said above OSI are the stewards of the system and as such we safeguard it as best we can so in general its us that deal with things in the system
Thank you for the replies! Hopefully there will be pews in that system as early as this week. We'll try to pew out of the NFZs. They are all 10k around the docking point, right?
As long as you keep the fight away from the planet and Lanzarote, its no problem. That came after the last time coalition and corsair fought for the system and 'bombarded' the planet. The NFZ around it is to avoid civilian casualties in the cities and settlements.
With that said, I have a question: the brets are giving up Leeds, then? Can we start calling it 'Planet Calais'?
