Even tho I put Graviton, as it is the most used shield, I prefer to use a shield that matches the environment that I will be PvPing in. It all depends on the Weapon Types the most common opponents I will be fighting use.

I use the Positron because it's usually the middle-class.
I rarely see people that use guns that are good against positron shields so usually I'm either being fully protected or just partially protected.

I prefer Positron type shields if im not sure what Ill face, mainly because they were the only Lvl 10 shield in Vanilla.

I guess the best way to figure it out is to find the most used gun perhaps.
Then u have an easy counter.
But then again there are Shield busting guns anyway

Graviton, because Outcasts have lore behind manipulating gravitons through micro-singularities

also because that seems to be the default for most ships when you buy them and I can't be arsed.

Is there a chart of shields and their weaknesses and strengths?

Damage percentages for each shield type when the shield is hit by a specific weapon type: What the Wiki lists as 'more effective against' deals 75% damage, and the 'less effective against' weapon deals 110% damage. Pulse guns deal normal damage to all shield types, and the weapon types not listed deal 90% damage.

100% | Pulse
110% | Plasma, Particle

75% | Plasma, Particle
