Ok guys, ill be straight, this was a bad day, and it ended worst while i tried to relax on discovery so im really uspet.

I quit four years ago, then when i saw the upcoming 4.88 i decided to play again with some friends.
I suck in combat, i just love to RP big ships, so when i saw that there is a civilian battleship, the corvo (my favourite ship) is reclassified at civilian, and the liners are considerated transport geez! I need to play again.

I spent one day choosing my my destiny on the wikia, and i've selected to play an unione corse trader, my target was to buy a liner and RP someone who's searching new business arround sirius.

Apart being blown apart 7 times by liberty rouges who attacks whitout a reason by only scream "ANOTHER CIVILIAN LETS KIL IT, or try to pirate against the rules i enjoyed my time.
Most of the people are kind, i RPed with junkers, navys, miners and other traders. This out of the line char is funny to play, apart what happened now:


With my transport i was stopped by two officers in liberty, who begin to say that i cant use that ship, that im not an unione corse official member, i cant fly in sirius and i need to go back to gallia.
I tried to explain in private and off that i've read the wikia, and it says nothing about restricted ships, restricted flying zones.
But even questioning about the rules he start to scream THE WIKIA IS OLD GO AWAY OR ILL KILL YOU GO AWAY ILL ESCORT YOU GO AWAY OR ILL NEED YO SHOY YOU DOWN ILL OPEN FIRE BLABLALBA.
Angry as duck i headed outside liberty, while a rouge show up demanding credits, but hey! I have two officers escorting me!

What happen? The officers said in off public "// ignore me do what you want", they flew out saying stupid things and leave me at the mercy of the pirate.


Guys, what the actual duck ? This is not funny, and this is not even in RP talking.
Can someone please calm me down and give me a proper explanation?

Why i cant be an unione corse char outside gallia?
Why for using a normal transport i need a permission outside the ID restrictions ?
Why for RP that normal thing i need all of this permission, and then a shallow officer with a bomber can do what he want ?
Why anyone update the wikia?
I like diversity, and all of this not writed rescritions kill the game, what i need to do for enjoy my time?
Why i cant role that character, and i should just be another liberty rouge, another policeman or another gateway shipper?


Sorry for being rude, but what happened just blew my mind and im whining so hard.
I really want re-open disco and play again, but if the server just become this, i prefer to quit again.

Just keep in mind that im not whining for the mere two mil that the rouge pirated me, and i even could understand some legal problem RPing an unione corse char in sirius.
But treath to kill me because that im not an official member of unione corse without any other reason, and being left against a rouge saying things in OFF public, it's just not fair, this is not RP.

Maybe checking this out (especially Section Three, article III.) can also help you. Keep in mind that Wiki is a barely reliable source of information and server rules are not the only regulation out here.

Sounds like real lolwuts. If they were from official faction, report it through the faction feedback. If not, I would consider reporting them for ooRP in system chat.

Of course you can. We met them from time to time in Rheinland for example.

You don´t need any permission in general, it depend on laws of each house. In Liberty, gallic ships might be a problem....

The following transport models are not permitted within the House of Liberty. All unmentioned transport class ships, including the ALG Mover, are permitted.

• Colossus Rheinland Train
• Behemoth Medium Transport
• Uruz Container Transport
• Bactrian Pirate Freighter
• Pitbull Pirate Train
• Bullmastiff Pirate Transport
• Courier Brigand Freighter
• Rock Badger Gallic Miner
• Taureau Gallic Armored Transport
• l'Ane Brigand Heavy Transport
• Vache Gallic Train
• Lucullus Gallic Liner
• Pachyderme Gallic Advanced Train

The following groups have specific exemptions to that list.

• All ALG Waste Disposal vessels with correct transponder and identification papers are permitted to fly the Colossus, Behemoth and Uruz.
• All Council vessels with the correct transponder and identification papers and Unione Corse vessels identified as [UC] are permitted to fly the Courier, Rock Badger, Taureau, l'Ane, Vache, Lucullus, and Pachyderme.
• All Synthetic Foods, Incorporated vessels with the correct transponder and identification papers are permitted to fly the Behemoth.

Gallic ships are problem in Liberty and Bretonia because of war. In Kusari and Rheinland you should be fine.

Why anyone update the wikia?

People work on it but it takes hell of a time because things are constatly changed. Rather consider anything written there as outdated. If you want to be sure, read laws of each house here.

House laws are part of RP environment, you have to take them into account.

You don´t have to be. But your choices have consequencies in some houses. Same way, junkers (and people using their equipment) have troubles in Kusari, Corsairs in Rheinland and Bretonia and so on.

Bad day, bad encounter, it happens. As other recommended, try other places than Liberty. You can run into troublemakers everywhere, but for several reasons the odds are highest in Liberty.

Laura and some others will help you find your way back in and look around,
and I have no idea what Disco was like 4 jears ago as I rejoined from Vanilla only about 18 months back. But your experience pretty much sums up Disco ;-)

No worries, there are fine RP players out there, but most of the folks you meet will not know much about it but will be pretty proud of the little lore they picked up and eager to show off their PvP skills. My advice would be to chill out, spend time exploring and browsing forum and stories and then let your RP develop bit by bit. But as much as I gather from your post you are just about doing exactly that at the moment. So :

I wouldn't neccesarily say avoid Liberty, but you have to be patient if you want quality RP. Sooner or later a good RPer will show up.
