Legitimate question. Although you're Dii, so you're gonna say something along the lines of "xd currently JDs are awful and discourage fights so they can never be different duh look at the mod's dwindling population that's clearly caused by jumpdrives, cloaks and PoBs".

But jump drives don't create activity hubs. When people see a ship online with one, they just want to go so something else.

Furthermore trying to force Jump Drives being part of the game and making them tools to get players into the action sounds like an excuse for poor system development that the devs don't address themselves. Rather than trying to shape a future (which I fear could become a possibility) where PoB equipment becomes essential in fights, jump drives should be deleted and systems should be redesigned to be better for activity.

also buttcloaking should be deleted. I really don't like to use Jumpdrives but I have to.

looks like it is time to get heavier caps and cloak lets see

also lets get back to topic.

Devs said there will be jump drive disruptor like Cloak Disruptors but Alley left some time ago so you guys have to wait for 8-9 month

Oh man I still have 8-9 month to make people mad with jumper ships ^^

well. thread over.

just add a massive cooldown to JD, and make them jump everything else around them in a radius, or better yet, make it drain energy (besides anything 3.5k and lower transport wise)

The fact that the devs outright refuse to delete Jumpdrives when the majority of the community desires it is rather disappointing.

Alternately, the fact that devs don't disable JD's until the disruptor is implemented.

Perhaps, Jayce, perhaps you are just exaggerating and Disco is still far from being dead.

Anyways, don't delete JDs, redesign them into Warp Drives. (Anybody been playing Heart of the Swarm may already have an idea of what I'm talking about.)

Mk1/2/3 given to snubs/smallcaps&transports/bigcaps, jumps you 2/4/6k forward upon activation, gets 60/90/120 sec cooldown, may or may not use fuel... just a quick draft on the concept, numbers are up to change.

Could use offensively, charging into battle, defensively via attempting to escape, but far not as effective in the latter as the current JDs.

Keep in mind that it is a concept drafted without any idea if it is possible to implement or not. Do not give too much hope into it.
