most of these are so dark you need to look really closely to make out whats going on in them, never understood the lure of the mod that makes the game like that.

People usually associate slightly darker images with higher quality images so he's probably using a HD pack of some sorts, hence the dark images. Ether that or he's using really bad brightness settings (:
