in an effort to RP with others (which i desperately want to do) i reached out and tried to co-write some stories. a few got started but then the writers mysteriously vanished. in the process of getting started with these co-written stories i allowed my imagination to run wild on the story line, during these times i'm sure you could see smoke coming from my head with all the activity going on :). once the stories fell to the waste side, the abrupt stop to all that activity put me into a funk and so it took a while to start back up again. hence why sometimes my Mon'Star stories seem to have long pauses between them.
so now i've got a few things going in my head.
1. a possible co-writing project
2. a possible RP event
3. a possible new ship
ok....
1. the possible co-write is on hold waiting the co-authors "set-up". he's busy and i understand that
2. the RP event i've been working on for over a month now has had it's ups and downs. currently i'm still waiting on whether the people that would need to participate are willing and able.
3. the ship is still an unknown. it could be included, it could under go another change or two, or any number of things could happen. the biggest concern is whether Igiss will include it or not.
all these things balancing on an edge, not knowing if each of them will fall to the side of failure or fall to the side of progression is keeping my brain in a state of looping limbo. i can't really start any new solo stuff because i want to put my all into writing for these others.
so i'm stuck, i just want to RP with Mon'Star, preferably with others and i keep running into obstacles.
the above situation has me frustrated. i hope it all made sense

Although I don't have any ideas to help you. Maybe making Mon'Star mad at a certain group (*prays for group to be Corsairs*:P) and a few stories written from the perspective of that group?
While I don't know too much about the character Mon'star I realize you put a lot of time in it and bravo for that.
Problem with a one character such as him (from what I gather) is that its.. pretty much one way. I've been there in other settings and it does tend to lead to stale ideas but theres always fresh ways to come out of a bad situation, but like you say the main problem is wether people will play along with it or not.
I do like and suggest Juan's idea of shifting focus on another faction and I would personally like to see it coming towards the Borderworlds. I'm under the impression that most of what I've seen STORY wise in the game is that society is pushing outwards towards the Borders but it seems that RP wise everything is going right back towards the middle of Liberty where the general populace is converging themselves into stalemate. I understand that seems like an extreme evaluation and there are factions that go against it, but I tend to imagine warring nations as nothing static. Tommorow Kusari could be overthrown. Liberty could be pushed into war with them in the North, and Hussiens come from the south.. and you have WWW20 all over again, but... this again is something people have to adopt and recognize as ACTUALLY happening.
Perhaps you create a catalyst to pull people away from that, because I've found in the past when you have something thats incredibly evil, they can start pulling pins from other places and REALLY cause terror because I don't tend to see 'evil' as totally thoughtless and chaotic. I think true evil would try to bend the whole world around them and sit back and laugh as opposed to treating each individual conflict as bloodlust. Chess not checkers <--- my motto.
I've been interested in doing some co(-op?) RP for a while, but haven't had the time till now. Would love to do some co RP with you but I do believe our to very different timezones make that neigh impossible.
i'm all for writing with anyone.....i need to start something new....this looping on uncertain stuff is about to drive me crazy.
i will admit that writing with a Homicidal Maniac is tricky, but i'm sure we can come up with something. unfortunately i've not read everyone elses stories. so i'll need a bio of the characters you want to use, and i can do the same with Mon'Star if you need it.
i've not ever imagined him getting angry. he's more of a jolly psycho. if i may quote Mon'Star for a moment "Now i can't go playing favorites, i gotta spread the love equally. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA"
If I see Mon'Star pissed off at ANYONE, it'd be the Lane Hackers.
Mon'Star, cruising around in the Necrosis, suddenly loses control of his ship for a minute, robots everywhere are running amok.
After putting down this little robo-mutiny, Mon'Star realizes that it's the Hackers (Xoria's Hackers, not the HF, as they are paramilitary really) have tried to take over the Necrosis and Mon'Star.
Voila. A Pissed-off nutjob goes off against the Hackers, creating an opportunity for the LSF/SA/LPI to whoop on the Hackers as well...or to HELP the Hackers against Mon'Star, or to sit back and watch the carnage.
OR...
Mon'Star and those silicon-headed Harvestors (no offense) team up and mow down some Zoners and pretty much everyone else.
OR...
Mon'Star tries to TAKE OVER the Harvestors (fake Alpha Code), only First Thought gets wind (?) of this and doesn't think compute too highly of this little maneuver.

As far as I understood Mon'star, he would like to do as much causualties as possible during any event. Harvesters are few. (I'm not one of them.) Do you see what I mean ?
I would join any mon'star event, 'cause he rocks, even if I die...
The LH idea was great I think, Keep something like that in mind, great potential !
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
