Don't you realize that this isn't terror? This is annoying. Annoying. I'm not terrified by some blue half-brother of a silent trader that has Cruiser guns. I'm annoyed that he just blows up people for no reason. Hooray, now they have to stay out of the system until the Nomad stops his rampage. Great.

How would you feel if you were just flying around, you found a cool guy to RP with, and then he just explodes? Or you explode? Or both of you do? Oh, sorry. If both of you do, you can just come back like it never happened. Because that makes a lot of sense and it's totally not annoying at all.

Phantom actually makes an excellent point here. Compare things to horror movies. Horror movies where there's some spooky murderer who's constantly expectedly jumping from corners to get a victim isn't really that scary. Maybe at first it'll make people jump, but after a while it loses the fear, then it becomes predictable, then tedious, and eventually you just stop watching the movie or no longer find it interesting.

Has anyone seen The Shinning? If you haven't, go watch it. Terror isn't thrown at your face constantly, it's built up with good degrees of subtly and released at appropriate moments in appropriate doses. The movie makes you feel very uncomfortable when you watch it, and does make you quite terrified. Yet you find yourself unable to turn away due to how well the movie hooks you in.

Whilst I can appreciate scary Nomads, and I love how Huggie is going to make them go raiding again and I can't wait to brawl with Noms again, I think K'Hara should be wary of how they achieve this. It's best to ensure people have the greatest possible experience when RPing with Noms, whether that is being terrified or discussing the topic of humanity with them.

Freedom Phantom, Ramke and Lyth have hit the nail on the head imo, but I don't think the "no-rp" line should be removed. It's a nice option to be used when it does create terror - but it is not terror in and of itself.

Nomads to me come across like a box of bertie-box every flavour beans. Sometimes you love life, as you taste the sweet juices of an Roleplay flavoured blue bean. And sometimes it just taste like...

This rule includes AFK trading and trading over/below the plane, as it is avoiding (that is, affecting/interfering other's RP) the roleplay or player-to-player interaction. If you are flying over the plane or purpose - you are in place in which there's no chance for other player to find you.

When you put it that way, may I ask if some guy running to the system wall to avoid PvP death is sanctionable too?
I have a feeling I'll encounter a few of those in the following days.

Avoiding pirate around the plane is OK, because pirate can find you. Flying above the plane, especially if it's +30K and more, is not OK, since chance for pirate to find you drops below 5% - and may be recognized as avoiding interaction.
