1. GB patrols in some areas are good. That means those areas are heavily guarded and you're not supposed to commit acts of piracy there.
2. Distance to gate is irrelevant. You can follow and stop the trader.

If I didn't know better I'd say the thread title is intentionally inflammatory clickbait designed to illicit knee-jerk responses from people who didn't bother to read the thread properly.
Most of these suggestions aren't about making piracy easier, they're about remedying detrimental mechanics. Removing gunboat patrols is good. The gate movement would honestly be unnecessary if their guns were stripped off (to avoid triggering the current bug), but moving them wouldn't hurt.
Long range lane drops can be achieved with a well aimed SNAC already, so a utility to do that as a fire and forget wouldn't be desirable. Well, not unless the thing was mounted in a Cd slot making a ship mounting it a niche utility ship at best.
This is one of the funniest posts i have seen. Yeah give criminals the go ahead to muder and that wil go down nicely. While you at it dev team make pirate ships cloak perminate and cruise spead 600ms.

oh god no, that model was so out of place and low res.
/thread
distance between lane and jump gate?pirating near/in capital systems?
YOU SHOULD NOT BE THERE TO BEGIN WITH IT
you should pirate in a lane, not near a JG and most important not in a central/capital system, let's take for example cortez, magellan, kepler, galileo, shikoku etc..
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
5 km minimum distance from all gates to any nearby tradelane should be implemented across the map.
Not only eases up more spots for.piracy ( even with the gate guns firing ), but those areas would serve as better checkpoints for police duty.as well.
I can only support the removal of cap patrols far from Stations and Planets if it is not an active warzone... and even then will they disrupt gameplay. Dedicated zones for fighting heavy npcs might be nice.
But back to topic, if I play Police I can't even type a message before some traders hop into the lane. I then have to make shitty setmessages and start shooting Lanes down immediately if no one reacts. Which seems odd for police. On Traders it is already very easy to avoid pirates. The armor nerf was good but there is still a bunch of other problems that still need solving.

Yes please. Or how it was "borrowed" from Star Conflict before its release
