han solo dies

literally the only well-written character in the movie dies after very little screentime

3/10, bad movie.
put starcraft cutscenes in the cinemas, they are better

Everyone have a right to drop an opinion but still, my reaction to some of them here is ...

"People that don't smoke should not try to or they will coughs all day" ~reference towards haters

[+]Spoiler
Between, a lot of people on the web mentioned Kylo got his hand cut but it definitely is still there. Also some interesting facts about Snoke: A lot of famous youtubers made nice videos explaining stuff around Snoke and that it is very much likely for him to be Plagueis. I didn't know about the existance of some kind of book/comics about Snoke but on youtube a guy was reading/quoted info about Snoke's past.
So it happens that Snoke was present during the Originals and Prequels BUT...working behind the scene "as he always does". Also he "knew Vader is Luke's father" during the Original series. He was also a witness of "Fall of the Republic, Rise of The Empire and their Dawnfall". Whoever he is - he is definitely being around for a very very long time. I really would like to see them tie all this information properly with Plagueis "kicked EU history" in order to make this "unknown villain" someone to be worth living and respected and even feared - and the best way to do it would be for him to really be Plagueis.

Some hints:
- Disney removed a lot of Wookipedia info and replaced it with new one - for example they did remove...Plagueis avatar image...which means they are the ones to say how this figure/character will look like instead to maintain his "original (currently kicked away) species" as Muun.
- The throne of Snoke is very familiar with this one, which Plagueis is sitting upon during the training of Sidious in the EU. Snoke in TFA was sitting in a similar throne (not chair like sidious). The "throne" resembles power and such a solid one is definitely part of a castle or temple (sith one, similar to these in Korriban - the sith graveyard planet) He is definitely thinking of himself as someone to be "king" or on top of others but who bested him? Who else but his own apprentice...Sidious. That would really make the new movies be worth a lot by extending the future of the main/new chars but also connecting old info with prequels/originals and new sequels.
- Music played during Snoke appearance is same one used before Palpatine told the story of Plagueis in the 3rd movie with slight differences. Why was it so important to add this scene back then? To waste minutes of precious time to present "Plagueis" name like "Darth Random of Randomness"...back then was like "who is this guy?" Now we all fans know who he was. Would be nice to have this scene be like a "seed", that is now a "tree" aka Snoke. (Like a hint in the past about someone that was very powerful and thought to be dead...so there he is again - alive)
- Plagueis IS the reason Anakin to be born in first place, conceived by the Force, for what reason? I think he was ment to be the perfect "host"/vessel for Plagueis "who could save others from death but not himself" - so what if he found a way to make powerful bodies which later he infested with his essence (Sith had such a power to possess individuals)? In this book it was mentioned Snoke was very interested in Skywalker family. It was like he was following the family tree of Anakin (his experiment), perhaps looking where it would be weak enough to easily manipulate...and possess? Vader was too strong to allow such a thing and Luke was too pure and righteous, proved not to be easy to corrupt him (during the meeting with Sidious - the bulwark of the dark side)....but Kylo...that one already proved to be easily manipulated. Maybe we shall expect to see in VIII how he "completes his training" by possessing him and turning the Kylo in to a vessel powerful enough to shadow both Sidious and Vader combined.
- Plagueis was possibly the creator of the prophecy of the chosen one. We know the chosen one was the one he made - Anakin - but what was his legacy? "To bring balance in the Force"...the Force is both light and darkness not only part of it. So if Sidious turned the weight to the dark side, "side" scale, then the "light" would be diminished, close to extinction (the last jedi was Luke alone as part of the light side)...so...who turned the "balance to the force" ?? Anakin - by killing Sidious - the Plagueis apprentice. A lot of fans believe that Plagueis, before Sidious assault, has forseen this coming and did a powerful illusion (he had a knowledge to make force illusions where nearly nobody would say if they are real or false)? Perhaps in his final act he did create Anakin to be his tool to bring him back to power again....some of you reading this far and following my logic would see why I will conclude that IF Snoke is Plagueis it would make perfect sense and make the whole plot carrying more weight - like we've seen Sidious Empire (the apprentice)...now its time to see his master - Plagueis "Empire".
- Snoke was mentioned to be "wise". Kylo Ren said "The Supreme Leader is Wise" in one sentence. Plagueis was know as well..."The Wise" - Darth Plagueis the Wise - as title. Ring some bells? Smile

Those of you that do not share my opinion about Snoke being Plagueis - drop your own. Its an interesting subject, currently going crazy in youtube between "star wars fans" - by that I mean people fans to all about star wars including: Extended Universe, Prequels, Originals, Sequels and the games.
No offense towards those fans to "originals" alone but Star Wars is NOT 3 movies cuz its far more complicated. Its not the lightsabers, nor the starships, nor vader (and etc) that are of importance. They are all just "toys" of a really big "game" and if you are "stuck" with few "toys" then, well...you lose. Wink

Saw it tonight, finally. I liked it, and definitely like seeing an unconventional sith here. All of the sith we've seen in the past have been strong, cunning, manipulative, powerful, deceitful. Kylo Ren is more what you'd expect to see from your typical sith recruit: angsty and trying to find the easy way out through the dark side.

I dont LIKE kylo ren, or his personality, but I do like that he's different than what we've seen in the past.

Also, still trying to figure out who Rey is, Luke's daughter or someone else's? Either way, she's hot, and she needs to turn that scavenger staff into a polesaber.

As for han dying, that was the sad moment of the movie for me, he and fett were always my favorite star wars characters, far moreso than the glowstick twirling force junkies. Smugglers and bounty hunters FTW.

However, I've heard theories that perhaps han isnt actually dead and survives the encounter. Hard to believe, but then again we did see Darth Maul survive getting cut in half and return to confront kenobi, so anything is possible.

I'm waiting for the orbital bombardment of the Rebel scum after the younger sexier Tarkin was told to get off his natural male enhancement, I mean Death Star. They know where the Rebel scum are, why aren't they cleansing them with orbital fire?

This is the "Send a Star Destroyer to the middle of nowhere to beat up an old guy when a simple commando raid from a freighter would do the trick" First Order. Of course they have the resources to simply send a Star Destroyer to, I dunno, pull a Planetary Makeover: Toledo Edition on the place.

Resistance managed to wreck Starkiller base with two fighter wings and an infiltration team of three. What do you think they could do to mere caps?

So, after losing 2 Death Stars and the bulk of the empire in the process, some tard in the First Order said "Hey! Let's build ANOTHER giant planet-killing weapon that is also quite vulnerable!"

Geniuses.

Also, what the heck was the Republic doing for 30 years while these guys were building this thing? You'd think somebody would have noticed.

In regards to Han dying, I don't like it, but I can see why they did it. For one, I'm sure Harrison Ford is just sick of the role and wanted to be done before he went senile. For second, it's a classical "passing of the torch" move. They'll kill off all the old heroes and the new ones will survive, then we will be expected to accept them as the new set of characters we care about.

I like Kylo Ren. I like that he's immature and unstable. I'm sick of all the clean-cut maniacal-ism and pure-evil of the bad guys. I wanna see a tortured soul at work.

Also, they made Poe Dameron too good of a pilot. In the scene at the bar place, Poe literally destroys like 10 fighters with intermittent ground support fire that accurately hits storm troopers standing like 2 feet from Han and Chewie, ALL within a span of like 30 seconds. If he's not a latent-force user, that's just bullcrap. How come there are like no good tie pilots?

On that note, why were the tie pilots chasing Rey and Finn on Jakku smart enough to see them running to one ship and blow it up before they got there, but didn't blow up the Millenium Falcon before they got there? Or became unable to shoot it once it was in the air? Horse crap.

I'm hoping Episode VIII is better in the way Episode V was better than IV.
