PoB on the mining field

Can someone have a PoB on the mining field? because Is not not fair. They cant be pirated because all the PoB and turrets are shooting at you. Let all put the Pob's in the mining field or very nearby and mine safe without any chances for the pirates.

This is from the rules.

All the old bases that are still in the fields have been there before the rule change.

Just activate the shield and they can't dock. But I agree, pobs in fields are annoying.

You could get a group of mates, fill out the necessary forms and such to be allowed to attack the POB, and then destroy it.

Yeah, this was a really hot topic of debate and the admins said they'd do something about it. Eventually they did, by introducing new rules on where POBs can be placed. Unfortunately, they didn't extend this to exisitng POBs, making the change more or less redundant.

However with the mining field locations getting looked at, I'd say there's a good chance that mining fields could get moved away from these POBs.

well i think i do understand what you mean - but sorry to steal you all hope - IT IS NOT POSSIBLE -

- even if the rules allow you to place a base in the field and upgrade to lvl 2 it is useless - then the fields are moved away
- if you set a base 15 k from the field you may upgrade higher - but then you are out of the field - which may protect you from battleships
- you dont get miners working for your base when the field is 58k away. showing up 1 miner 3-5 pirates come no chance so forget building a base it became senseless
- ask some "cool" official mining groups to become a member of its the best way. (there is actually one -Kruger- in O7)
