I didn't know if anyone had considered modeling it but I think the UC and brigands should have vhfs and 8.33 weps. A custom gb that isn't broken like the asco would also be nice.

Also I didn't think it was so broken since previous duels with it were easy wins, but with the Solaris nerf and basics being the new "reliable" guns per say the asco is 100000000x more broken. The "sheild bubble" I think that's what it's called is sorta too small. The projectiles pass under the center part of the ship when shooting it from the rear. Its front profile is the easiest part to hit but if you do that you risk losing more hull since the ascos front arcs are crazy.

Normally I pm this to the devs but since adding in new ships to the UC line might involve more lore stuff than balance I figured I'd post it here also recommendations for the asco.

-make it only usable with the brigand and UC IDs. As it is all other Gallic gbs (I think) get a 10% core with pirate IDs except the asco. Pirates have more than enough powerful gbs to exploit.

Just my thoughts, obviously there's more important things atm but I felt like leaving this here as something to do in the future.

All I want is UC engines, both normal and black market ones.

The effects for UC gunboat engines are already in the game files. They'll appear as equipment at some point in the future.

The Asco has no shield bubble, like most larger ships its "hull hitbox" acts as its "shield hitbox" as well.

Maybe making it one could help (the Bottlenose, for example, already has a shield hitbox, so it's not without precedent), although that would do nothing for making its hull harder to hit.

A UC VHF model already exists. It might even have a texture, too. So yeah, one's in the works but it's not finished yet.

But then, we'd wish if there was pink engine for transports (Class 6 engines). And the Council one.

This was pushed years ago but ignored. So I doubt it will happen.

Taking into consideration that the most powerful protection for GBs is their very potent shield, this would matter a lot.
Hull on GBs melts fast.
But their shields are a massive obstacle to overcome.

Therefore, I think this should be done.
