Yeah but the infocard says it in a different way. Can it be adjusted to reflect this better?

I think it most certainly should be adjusted, perhaps in a way that implies Cryer is bending the truth a little about its properties.

However, people largely misunderstood Xoria's statement earlier. Just because infocards are not divine truth does not make them false, it means that they can be lies. The difference here is that one goes against the lore, and the other is a part of it.

Ahh fair enough. We always treat infocards as the actual explanation these days. Maybe we should go back to treating it as the inrp description. But then we would need to adjust other infocards more in that direction too I guess.

making stablaine do the same thing as cardimine would kinda be... A bad decision.
What I understand from stabaline is that a cardi addict can take it and survive without cardi. To make a more legal version of the illegal drug kinda takes away the exotic feel of cardi itself. You wont get rp then of lawful chars taking cardi to get a boost secretly. You will see them just take the prescribed stabaline legal version... Which in a way is detrimental.

Lie is the opposite of truth (nouns). False is the opposite of true (adjectives). You technically said they are not automatically false, but they can be false. Again, what is the difference? Can't we just keep only rumors uncertain and rest of the infocards divine truth to at least have some solid basis to roleplay upon? If we don't have that basis who is here to decide which of two contradicting roleplays is true and which isn't? Without such basis what is here to stop anyone pick any infocard of their choice and claim it's false because it feels more convenient and fitting their RP, what's here to stop anyone bending the lore to their will instead of having to accomodate to it?

Let's not mix rumors with infocards, shall we?

My interpretation of the infocard is that stabiline is just cardimine in pill form, cryer is actually just using it for easy massive profits, the house governments know this and enjoy the taxes.

For the sake of clarification, here are the internal guidelines on infocard writing and the 'structure of reliability' when it comes to different types of infocard.

(01-01-2016, 09:56 PM)Teerin Wrote: Infocard writing
[...]
- Infocards are to be written objectively, which means they cannot gloat about a battlegroup's amazing prowess and uber strong crushing power.
- Exceptions are allowed only with express permission to do so. It is also generally okay for a flair to be added in the infocard, so as to make it less bland to the reader.
- As a general rule of thumb, in the case of contradiction infocards are structured by reliability; solar objects > IFF information > commodites & equipment > news stories > bar rumors > NPC chatter

In short, base infocards (solar objects) should be written impartially and truthfully without the filter or bias of the group/faction it relates to. The infocard of a Bretonian battleship will give a realistic assessment of their strategic position without bluster or war propaganda. A corporate base will give an stark overview of their activities there, instead of marketing or PR. Solar objects and the F9 IFF information should be taken as entirely reliable and provided specifically to guide people as to the setting's lore.

Commodities, news articles and rumours are less consistent and reliable because they are materials that are produced in-universe. That means the biases of their owners may intentionally be introduced into the description. Daumann Side Arms are the best in the universe. Stabiline won't turn your baby inside out. Samura knows nothing about AO toxicity on Junyo.

In the case of Stabiline specifically, no it doesn't reproduce any of Cardamine's other side effects. That is the long term (vanilla) goal of Cryer. To produce a drug that can emulate all of Cardi's beneficial properties without genetic alteration and addiction. All Stabiline currently does is prevent withdrawals becoming fatal. It may well have unintended side effects in the short or long term - like thalidomide did.

No-one knows because the drug is being unethically trialed on House populations (especially prison populations) in order to accelerate the production of a reliable and safe drug for the elite.

This. But it does reproduce the effects of normal Cardi.

No, it doesn't. Literally all it does is stops the withdrawals from being fatal.
