So today I defected from the LSF to join the order... and i'm out in omicron minor working on rep.

Get attacked by two keepers and flee to the base (not much choice, they were in nomad bombers and tearing me apart) and I get messaged by one saying he'd report me for docking on an order base with an LSF ID.

Honestly, In normal circumstances I could see that being a big RP issue, but unfortunately - unlike the keepers - normal players cant just PM an admin and get insta-friendly with any faction they want. I cant get an order ID until I get enough rep for it, and I'm stuck with either an LSF or civilian ID until then. If I used a civie ID i'd get spat at for having one over level 40 anyways.

So, apologies to the nomads, but there isnt much I can do about the ID until I get the rep.

Also, I slipped a swear word in system chat that was meant for group chat in response to being attacked by the keepers, sorry for that as well.

I know the people who attacked you, I can talk to them if you want.

In future, try to pick up a trader ID when setting up your character. It's a perfect "neutral"-ish ID to pick up that protects you whilst you do the OORP stuff.

After the Z21 post, I was going to suggest you join the Rogues and kill LSF/Navy for restricting you from accessing Alaska.

The Order was a better choice, and you still get to stop smugglers.:)

To be honest, I think it's just a case of "you ran and I couldnt kill you, so i'm going to pummel you with rules".

There really isnt any way around it for me right now. One more mission will get me an order ID, the nomads just have horrible timing.

Did you mention to them you were fixing rep? building a character? Gent's agreement around here is that if this is mentioned, the attacking parties usually go about their business and leave you to yours.

Even if done in RP. "I am a defector from the loathsome LSF and my transponder is yet to be repaired by Order Techs" etc. This usually works...has for me on both sides of the conversation.

I wasn't there, so until I receive logs from my members all I can say is to repeat what has been said previously: Trader ID or something of that kind usually works as transitional state. And secondly, we don't get insta-friendly with *any* faction we want, just once per char and only for three specific factions: Nomad Guard, Nomad and Das Wilde. The rest, apart from Neutral, are set to hostile. Yet another myth.

Avoid swearing in system chat. Mistake or not.

i don t think you re in trouble, you had the defection post out before that and it was being discussed, those that attacked you could / should have read it - or left you alone. not a rule, but its nicer to do so. but then again, only if you mentioned what your situation is about.

in RP terms though, there is no fixing the rep. - there is however no reason to sanction you. - and threatening someone is ... umm... bad manners. - when it was actual threatening and not only mentioning that you "might have been ooRP" - you may want to report them yourself for harrassemnt, as rule lawyering and threats are not tolerated either. - all up to your perception.

Since when can Keepers do that, your wrong my friend, only 1 Rep change and that one is for getting full
nomad RP, but hostile to all else. Except Wild of course.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- like Treewyrm said, Trader ID is best for repfixing. Nice blanket to hide behind. The Keeper PMing you about reporting you is a little weird, but not entirely unusual- normally when I see something strange like that I shoot a nice, friendly PM inquiring about it, and for the most part people aren't stupid or malicious enough to keep on chugging with disregard to the rules.

Keep the thread flame-free, and kudos for putting this up here BEFORE a sanction thread came out.

Got logs and asked both members of the incident. First and foremost: that kind of language is unacceptable on this server, keep it to yourself, mistake or not. Second: you have been privately informed that docking with that ID/tag is ooRP on that specific base. Or would you prefer to silently screenshotting and then filling a report? I think not. But if that is what people around here want this is what it might come to. You have apologized, so it's fine now, but next time be careful, both in what ID/tag you have and where you dock with them, and messages you send.

Enjoy the game. But keep those rep myths to yourself, I'm can be quite hard pressing when it comes to them.
