Wesker is the local cap elite. He is simply quoting it to remind it that it is not the case for 4 people on the server and as such it is not a valid point for me to bring up.

Not necessarily. Really depends on the armour and the pilot. A au8 cruiser will definitely lose to a cap6 cruiser, but a cap6 or even a cap5 cruiser can take on cap7 and cap8 cruisers depending on the pilot.

Some time ago, I brought forth a proposal to the Devs, when the Researcher ID was reintroduced, that would allow people with that ID to locate new substances in random anomalies throughout Sirius. These highly rare substances would allow for stronger armor and stronger weapons to be created on higher Core (6-10) POB's.

This proposal was largely ignored due to power creep. I doubt that the Devs would now want to go that route all of a sudden, as the effort to rebalance the new ships with the existing ones would be painstaking, not to mention the effort to create these ships as well.

It's a nice thought though...

Let's have something like this.

I would welcome cosmetics. Any sort of additional cosmetic upgrade would be great. Perhaps some "construction kit" to make your own engine effects - not sure how it can be coded but maybe something like having several engine equipment slots for "modifiers": colour, particle type, trail, etc. Maybe an equipment slot in civilian ships for textures (that would only be bought on the capital planets for a lot of monies). Also more light colours and maybe adding an "enhanced" pimpship plugin that would put in three light hardpoints in one place allowing you to manipulate the light colour a bit more easily.

I dunno, just a few suggestions.

Don't get me wrong, the concept is cool but I think that would tax the server if a bunch of these ships with their pimped up polygons would be in a single place.

The server doesn't care so much about an increase polygon count which also doesn't have much to do with engines.

Not for most.


Loadouts and ship types play the largest role and even then 50% of the time skill determines the win.
