Different coloured [hr] lines?

Would it be possible to have different coloured hr llines? You can use underscores however the formatting can potentially screw up on different sized monitors.

I'd rather not allow adjustments to the horizontal rule's height. I suggest if you want it bolded, you merely make a custom image to do the job and float it.
