Hey discovery players,

1. Is there an FAQ on this forum?

2. If I install the mod, can I still play on normal servers?

3. If I install the mod, will it affect the saves I have for other servers?

There is tutorials' forum right here

2. If I install the mod, can I still play on normal servers?
Discovery installation creates a seperate game folder, leaving vanila Freelancer intact. This means that using Disco folder you will be able to play on Disco servers only.

3. If I install the mod, will it affect the saves I have for other servers?
No. Ship data is held server-side.

All you need to play both disco and vanila is:
1. Installing clear Freelancer withno any additions
2. Installing Disco to different folder
3. Installing JFLP and/or any vanila mods you want to play on. - to make vanila servers visible :v (to vanila's directory)

You're using a deprecated operating system so you're bound to have issues.
.NET is only required for the launcher, if you still want to play you can go through the manual patching process as described here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=132913
