Revert to old one.
The old one was a beauty.
The new one is plainly ugly.

I still have a .86 install right here and it was still using the old model back then. I wouldn't exactly call it pretty, although it was more "complex" which usually is more aesthetically than a brick.

Rolling it back shouldn't be difficult if everyone considers it the way to go.

I am still curious on who does those changes and why it was made with Bottlenose too?

If the Bottlenose was changed it was likely done to accommodate its (pretty major) rescaling back then. Not sure by whom. Maybe AD did it, if not Jinx. I don't know.

The Atlas change made it look more universal and less like a dedicated gas transport - which in my book is a good thing - but did make it lose some charm.

I could take on 7 bombers with the .86 Botttlenose. And I wasn't even decent with TSing back then. Old BN was pretty broken, old BHG| even had a policy where Hunters were advised to not pursue smaller prey with the BN due to how OP it was.

I was speaking only about texture altering. In old version there were no windows, that definitely look out of place now and IMO do not fit this vessel.
