"I understand. You need to see who you can trust. Just know that for many operations it is important to know as much as possible to maneuver correctly." watching the agent for a moment before looking at a small tablet on the desk that listed the people who died in the explosion.
"You already seemed to know more about my ship as me or my crew. And if you really help us taking those people out then I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed on the Harmony. Is there anything you need to start working? And can you give me anything so I can do the same?."
Apparently satisfied with the answer Youngs voice became more warm and gentle.
"I don't need a lot, at least those things are the matter of usual paperwork to you. First things first, that's obvious, but I want to say some basic things aloud. This conversation as well as the true reason of my presence in the Battlegroup is suppose to be a secret. All I need on the technical level is rank within the battlegroup that will allow me to maintain regular contact personally with you. As I said I'm not one of those LSF commando so I'd prefer to get the position that is far from the frontline or other direct military operations."
She smiled a little.
"And I hope I will get adapted to wearing the navy uniform promptly, wearing unfimilar uniform is rather annoying thing. "
"I guess at this point it is the best idea to be quiet about it anyways. You will get your place on the ship but did I understand you correctly that you want a Navy rank and uniform? So you want to be undercover? I just need to know because that is obviously a bit harder. There is no files about you in the Navy database and so on." She said and picked the tablet up, calling up the list of pilots in the battlegroup.
"Or did you plan that already?" she asked and looked at her shortly.
"Undercover indeed, LSF agent who appeared after the sabotage will attract too much attention. As you clearly understand this is attention is something that I would like to avoid... And I obviously don't know a lot about the Navy bureaucracy so that's really up to you. I guess some personnel files are missing sometimes and have to be recovered... I don't know. After the sabotage losses you will have to work with this database and probably something will went messy. Try to use any chance and figure it out somehow. "
Charm looked at the clock.
"Excuse me, this meeting wasn't planned and I have my timetable to keep, I have only a few minutes. "
"Fair enough." She sighed and put the tablet on the desk.
"Will you need a new name? How high in rank will you need to be? Can you be among the other crew members? Then we can work something out. It appears we have to. Ah also. When will you come aboard then?" she wanted to clarify.
"My current name is quite new so we shall be able to use it. Speaking of the rank and position in crew as I said already, it supposed to be close enough to staff so I will be able to maintain direct contact with you. I will contact with you about the exact time of my arrival, I still have my command and it's highly depends on them... Anything else?"
She looked like she lost any interest to keep the conversation.
"I guess a Lieutenant should suffice? It wouldn't be too obvious or suspicious but when we designate you as some specialist we can get you the necessary special treatment. Would you be fine with that?" She offered and sighed when she looked at her list of Lieutenants, having seen the loss of Lieutenant Hawkins.
"We also have lost one of them recently. So we could lay it out as filling up the command structure." She pointed out, some sadness creeping into her voice.
"Ah, yeah, I suppose. Once again as long as we will have stable contact and I will not be involved into some actual military operation it will be accepted by me. I don't care which rank I will get, all that is matters is an opportunity to perform my duty."
"Fair enough agent. I will arrange everything as best as I can. Meanwhile I also need to take care to get the Harmony back to fighting condition. I will contact you when you can come aboard." after saying this she got up and ready to lead Young out of the room and continue with her tasks including the one of sneaking a new pilot into her group.
