This is probably a dumb personal preference of mine, and likely not too related to RP directly, but don't randomly insert German words into English sentences, and vice versa. It strikes a nerve in me and probably some other people.

Example:

"Our Bundesrepublik is a great nation."

Just say:

"Our federal republic is a great nation."

Or...

"Unserer (Unsrer) Bundesrepublik ist eine grosse Nation." (Our federal republic is a great nation)

Hi, this is matter of opinion and there are two main groups (if we don´t count those which does not care about this) which disagree with each other.

Some (actually a lot) players do this because they consider it as a tool for better immersion. This is english speaking server what is enforcerd even by rules, so you can´t speak completely in any other language in local chat (thus the second option you wrote would be against the rules). For this reason, players use few words from the language of character´s origin (typically good day, yes, no, thank you and few more...like strudel Smile ) to create at least limited immersion to create specific atmosphere of each house.

I am one of these. The immersion would be worse for me if everyone would speak in the same way - just in english. So I like that when I travel to Kusari, I am greeted with Konnichiwa when I meet some local (not to mention famous gaijin swears). Same applies to Rheinland or Gallia. I don´t want just usual Good day/Hello/Yes/No everywhere I go.

But there are also players (though they are smaller in number than the first group) which does not like this for reason you said - mostly because they are native speakers of that language and the "weird" mixture with english is striking their nerve.

These two groups roleplay it their way all the time the server exist (or at least as far as I remember) and I doubt it will ever change (actually like I said, I don´t want this to change). You will have to use to it, that´s the only advice I can give you.

On a ragebreak. Or ragequit. Time will tell.

Yeah, it makes sense. People saying "Guten Tag" or some other phrase before English is fine with me, because that's a whole clause/sentence. But thanks for some of that info.

Greetings, RFP|.

I wish I could give feedback on a more positive note, but unfortunately, I just had a bad experience with one of your pilots(A Polizeikadett that shall remain nameless for the time being.) Everything was fine and RP was plentiful, however, the Polizeikadett in question, after RP was nearing the end, suddenly opened up his weapons on my ship. I evaded his gunfire, thrusted away from him, to have him follow me, turn back, and docked on the nearest base without a single word to me, after he first shot me.

I have read the Rhienland laws on this matter(several times as to not miss something) to find that a Freelancer ID'd, Civilian LF, Flashpoints and a Gammu AI IFF is in fact the most 'legal' thing I could not find in the laws. In short, my vessel in question was operating completely within the Rhienland laws, but was shot regardless. If it was just play, it would have stopped at my shields.

Hopefully the RFP| leader could talk to the Polizeikadett in this matter to remind them to not try to kill civilians randomly. So far my encounters with the RFP| are less than glorious(all ships that were interacted in were either quasi or fully lawful.)

Thanks,

EDIT: The parties involved have resolved the matter. Just a bit of a misunderstanding.

Consider toning down a tad the amount of stuff you drop on fighter after killing the GB. If you have superior forces, try to go for balance instead of trying to ensure the kill with zero personal risk.

Good work going for an encounter though.

I've had similar situations with many people around on discovery. I know how you do feel but do not ask this. It's been said that outnumbering or out- thinking enemy is nothing bad at all by the greens. And thus, I adapted to that.

On the other side, if you would've won the encounter, you wouldn't come here.

Take a loss like a champ, next time hit them good.

I was present on the scene yesterday. It was overkill on RFP side, as Unioners had only a fighter and gunboat. Three gunboats and around three snubs were dropped onto them, alongside with two other gunboats belonging to Kruger. That, for sure, really wasn't a reason to take it like a champ.

This little bird went to sleep forever. So long.
Thank you for everything.

That does not mean you should be an asshole. It is not against the rules but it's disgusting behaviour.

Hi Taeni, thank you for your feedback.

Unfair fights happen everywhere in Discovery. It isn't necessary to post a feedback just because of one incident, next time just message me on Skype and we sort things out.
Especially since we're short on members, we're rarely on the ganking side. Since it is not in our interest to decrease activity in Rheinland due to unfair fights, we'll try to work on it and keep things fair. Keep in mind that we expect you to return the favour of balanced fights.

See you in space!
