Hey, a small bump to this whole thing.
One of the reasons why we have a limited influx of new players (judging by comments on videos regarding disco) is because finding the game is very hard these days.

http://home.bluedrake42.com/freelancer-discovery/

Bluedrake, when he hosted the letsplays for the =DRK= community went as far as providing a download link to the mod as well as the ISO, which was a risky thing to do, true, but so far has no reprecussions.

I still think that we should take the risk and do the same - either adding the game to the mod itself by removing all SP elements such as missions and audio files, or to host the game ISO or at least include a link to a torrent.

The worst case scenario is that it can be asked to be taken down.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

All for this. It is time that we link (or host ourselves) the iso. Or just package it with the installer.
If I am not mistake we have tried to contact Microsoft many times and they seem not to care. So why not.

Avoid such installations.
They lack the two font files needed for proper ingame text display.
If you host that, include the font files in a separate folder.

Am I the only one fortunate enough to have my own copy of the game, I have 2 (although 1 isnt exactly working too well!)

But yeah, including the game with the mod could help bring in new players id say, but again, I dont know!

I got your point Spazzy here, He want to say that it will be easier for new people to freelancer and discovery if both are included in the installer and we start representing Discovery as a game now not mod

You can ignore reality but you can not ignore consequences of ignoring reality

Agency FB and Agency FB Bold. Both fonts Disco does not have a license to distribute, and both fonts that are required for Freelancer to function properly.

There are some fonts that would work with that spacing. If Disco was standalone, all you'd need to do is have it be there with a modified font ini to use that specific font and not Areal - the default one that is used in the absence of Agency.
