To be honest, I prefer it without the Liberty logo thing going on in the foreground. The logo itself is nice, and the sig without it is, well, excellent. However, the gradient effect on the emblem just makes it seem too clean, too sterile in comparison to the rest of the decor. Just my opinion, of course, but I feel that without the insignia it looks... Cleaner, I suppose. More stylish for sure.

Discovery's Resident Lagnom

It looks like her right arm (the one on our left) got shaved a little too much when lifting that render- the rest of her is plenty thin, but it's hard to imagine fitting bones in that arm, much less the muscles to wave hello to someone or pilot a ship. If that's the way it's supposed to be- whoa. Reality is unrealistic.

I'm also quite skeptical of the emblem- the light color doesn't provide much contrast from the planet, and the black streak seems very out of place.

It's a good start (and way better than I could do), keep at it.
