I see that all voted for Navy Guard. But no one thinked about inequality between minor and NY.
i think will be better if NY will have more defence in minefield and Order in minor. And no changes made in alaska (only BH base). Or in alaska all forces(Order, nomads,BH,Navy) to be increased.

When I was talking about storing the passwords, I was not implying that they should be stored in an out of game thread on this forum, I was implying that they should be stored and sent in "RP" messages and emails or message boards. Obviously hacking someone's website is wrong, I mean to say that one could guess or be told the password to a protected forum by a rogue officer, or be forwarded the "RP" transmissions (Emails) by said rogue officer.

So: Passwords are stored and passed in RP format, as though it were a message from a commanding officer or a entry in a database. Officers could sell the password but risk expulsion from their faction (Possibly with hope for redemption?)

As a result of the risk factor, anybody who did sell the code would be selling it for a lot of money, which means that not too many players could afford it, which means that you won't be having many getting through if the guard is being posted properly.

Banning someone for playing a crooked officer hardly sounds reasonable. Kicking them from the faction and making them KOS does.

If only LSF is allowed to have the password and Rogue officers are banned, the password isn't useful. The point of the password is to force would be smugglers to bribe officers in order to get through, bringing more RP to the game instead of fueling the OORP fire by threatening every smuggler who tries to go through alaska with banning. When we make solutions to oorp problems, we should be trying to solve them with RP solutions. Add more RP to the game instead of more // screaming at each other.

If LSF and SA or any other Liberty law enforcement cant defend it properly its not the servers fault.

So leave it as it is.

In reality the poll is kinda flawed as i would have liked to have voted for LSF/SA and Order and maybe the Orders closet allies but it wont let me.

I just thought I would post this here, as it is directly applicable and if my improved ID ideas are implemented would make the lives of anyone patrolling Alaska that much easier.

Liberty Security Force ID Edited
Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Liberty Security Force (LSF). LSF ID grants its owner right to attack anyone at will within the Alaska system, participate in lawful military operations, hunt pirates and terrorists within their Zone of Influence, covertly operate within all other Houses (LSF ID is considered unlawful if encountered by non-Liberty House lawfuls within non-Liberty territory), and scan traders for contraband. LSF ID cannot trade, fulfil bounty contracts, and cannot ally with unlawfuls (except with Xeno Terrorists against non-Liberty pirate, military or Nomad invasions). LSF ID may operate within Alaska and the Omicrons.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.

For the record, there is also an LSF Guard ID created, as well as Liberty Navy and LPI Guard IDs. The standard Liberty Navy ID has stated on the ID that it may NOT enter Alaska, whereas the Liberty navy Guard can. Neither LPI standard or LPI Guard are allowed to enter Alaska. The LSF Guard has other perks/restrictions associated with it, but you can read that up later.

OK... so does that mean that liberty players are gonna let indy's buy this ID and have access to Zone 21?

Not at aimed at you Kuraine btw... but i have noticed that my last post has been pretty much ignored.. I thought my answers were pretty constructive, but.. no offense meant to anyone here, however this poll and thread is pretty much bogus... the options were stacked and it seems to be a bunch of liberty players agreeing with each other and ignoring things that don't support their side of the story.

We, LSF, don't use the LSF ID for covert missions,,, It is not very smart to go around with an undercover name while at the same time using your badge...
we Mainly use FL, Merc, etc ID,,, depending on the situation we switch the ID

Why only fighters and Freighters? and not bomber and/or GB?

the ID proposal is too complicated, please make it simpler, there is some Contradictions in it that makes me get an headache. And LSF doesn't operate in the Omicrons, however we can in RP go there once in a while to 'raid' for example the keepers..

I want to know through a poll about how people would like to see the Alaska system enforcement either changed or parts of Alaska system itself changed. So here are my three questions with polls ^^.

Tenacity's Alaska 'debate' thread can be found here:
Zone 21 / Alaska rule Enforcement thread link

I am genuinely interested in your opinions and that is why I made this poll. Remember to post any more debates in Tenacity's very much alive thread, but wouldn't mind if they came here too.

EDIT: With the First poll they ALL include Liberty craft (minus police without permission) forgot to put that in.

You forgot the option of:

1-Open the gate up to use for everyone
or
2- Add another jumphole From NewYork to Omicron --''A cross town express, to speak.''

Er... ok? are you serious? so by that same logic, Smugglers shouldnt have to use smuggler ID, they can use trader?
Cos the same logic applies?

I know.. off topic... but couldnt help it

Yes, I am serious, we have chosen to do it this way, Since we didn't want people to begin to point fingers at us when we were doing Covert ops, since they should never in-rp know where we come from and who we are.

We used the LSF ID in the past, but some player, which didn't really understood the "undercover" part were problematic...

People should never know that they have encountered a LSF covert ops, but they could be suspicious, but never have any solid proof that it is us., anyway. with the Undercover msg dump, they will know who we are, but they might not remember our names
