QUESTION: So does this mean that entering a cloud while being chased counts as PvP death? If so, is this intended to kill the entire game? Furthermore, whether it does or doesn't, how am I supposed to know if someone was 15k away if I have an advanced cargo scanner, which can only detect players that are 11k away or closer?

QUESTION: So does this mean that if I'm on my LR bomber harassing LNS near Manhattan and I'm about to die, I can fly into an NPC battleship, get killed by the NPC, then come back from Rochester or the Rogue Destroyer and re-engage?

ADMIN/MOD ANSWER: I realize where that could be confusing. Edited the response, as well made the fix in the rule line. If you die while in PVP with someone, whether from them or an NPC, you are PVP dead. If you die to an NPC before a PVP match has begun, you're not.



Also, in general, the new ruleset is riddled with typos and style errors. Someone should really give them a once-over to fix that.

QUESTION: If somone is using a transport/freighter without the purpose of trading, but rather RP or fight , does it count as PvP death after docking?Or if someone just uses turrets to defend themselves from a pirate, is that still the case?

ADMIN/MOD ANSWER: If the Transport, at the time, was not being used as a Pirate Ship/Combat Ship then docking allows you to return. If you had to defend yourself, as a Trade Ship, you are also safe.

QUESTION: In case the character respawns in the same system of his/her death (which probably should be clarified in the rule), when exactly does the grace period start? A) When the character is killed, B) when the character respawns, or C) when they launch from the base they respawned on?
Extra question for cases A and B: A player who does not respawn/launch for five minutes is not sanctionable, right?
Extra question for case C: (assuming 2 hours are counted after death, not launch) If the player waits on a base for 1 h 59 m after death and launches, is the player still required to leave the system within 5 minutes?

PLAYER RESPONSE: Good luck proving the "intent" part. Oh wait, you don't have to, it's the responsibility of either the reporter, or in case of guilty until proven innocent, the sanctioned. Right? Right.

QUESTION: I know it isnt actually mentioned in here at all, but since it isnt are we removing the probation punishment entirely from the list of punishments? Can the admins define what exactly probation means somewhere so everyone knows? How do people currently on probation get out of it if the punishment isnt being handed out anymore?

RULE: Faction right 5 (reputation change)
QUESTION: All Systems
- House Miltary, Police and Intelligence factions may enforce roleplay consequences only for actions occurring within their ZOI.

This means that if for example a RM indy goes to New York with a cruiser and starts talking about declaring war, Rheinland taking over and all that nonsense, since it's outside the RM ZoI, RM can't fr5 this person or do anything about him ingame or oorply, because it's a house military and New York is outside their ZoI. It can cause a real mess.

However if a red hessian indy does the same, because red hessians aren't considered house military, they can enforce a fr5 regardless, go put the individual/group down, etc etc.

I think the problem is self explanatory.

- House Military, Police, and Intelligence factions may enforce roleplay consequences upon any players and factions found breaking House Laws within Outer Regional Space, only if they are personally there to witness to the legal infraction while uncloaked and equipped with a House Military, Police, or Intelligence faction ID.
QUESTION: To add quite similar problem to what Yber posted (which is problem of inability to make roleplay consequencies for faction indies, or technically even own faction players, for infractions commited outside of faction´s ZOI) - according to current rules, official factions can´t make roleplay consquencies for their indies or even their own faction members for infractions made even in their own House Controlled Space or Outer Regional Space. For example if some RFP indie or even RFP| member will harass a trader in Koeln or Omega-7, which are systems where Rheinland laws apply inRP, and trader will complain to the RFP| leadership, we can make no roleplay consequencies because of above mentioned rule (because of it only reports made by law enforcer which was present the infraction counts, but reports of the victim of harrasing law enforcer does not count).
