No not for pvp [:

But because those two are dedicated unlawful/smuggler ships. It'll be easier to escape from the local police if you can disrupt the lanes behind you (the ones you dock to, not the ones you exit from).

This sounds like a very intriguing concept and I honestly wouldn't mind seeing it implemented as an experimental feature.

You can disrupt the lanes you are going into without the mines, all you need is practice.

No you can not Antonio.

That "all you need is practice" means also you can always master vhf combat and beat the hell out of discovery top10. Somehow it's not done on a large scale though. It's not done at all by your average disco player.

Wrong example. Just because something is in theory doable doesn't mean it is in practice.

Pirate transport is already kinda nerfed due to being illegal in many places. It could be interesting

Well it definitely requires far less skill than mastering vhf combat, but I do agree it's not an easy thing to do. Just saying it's possible, and I know some people who can consistently shoot lanes with guns just as they're entering. As for the mine dropper itself, seeing how smuggling is pretty bad compared to lawful trading, especially ore, any kind of a buff would be nice. +1 from me.

They don't need mine slots. They don't have them already because they're transports, and regardless of what they are doing and who is after them, it shouldn't be so easy to get away in a transport. And if you understandably can't shoot the ring as you enter it, you can easily shoot the end one out, which gives you extra space.

The system is fine as it is.

The PT is meant to be an armoured blockade runner.

It literally is used to crap on other transports and take their goods.

I agree shooting the end one is good practice and can be done easily, but if that is all you essentially typed, I fail to see the significant reasons for refusal of a change outlined here. I may be missing something so I'll await your next post.

They're transports. They shouldn't have a tool to escape from pursuing targets easily. Even if it's "RP", there is class standards/limits/restrictions.

At least the Pirate Train shouldn't get the feature because it's a train. The Pirate Transport is meant to steal stuff from other transports, not the train.
