Quite a poor approach at disagreeing with a situation you believe was handled poorly.

Edit: Decided to replace the rest of my post with this link instead, since it sums up everything better than I could.

After seeing this for a while I've came to conclusion that this is just a sophisticated way to entertain oneself in this community. The ultimate level of having fun. In the beggining it was FL, then Discovery, then RP, then drama, and now it is something close to social models simulations.
For someone rather uninvolved into Discovery social life it looks a bit of like "taking things too personal and serious", but when thinking about it like of a social experiment kinda makes sense.

It looks like a "second life" sort of thing.

FL MOD(EL)MAKING: TOOLS, RESOURCES, TUTORIALS AND MY SHIPS (OLD)

I am on discord: Roal-Yr#5994, I don't log on forum more than a few times a year.

I am not making ships for FL anymore, I am making my own space game instead:

Why did you vote yes to ban them and say there was no other alternative if you are now telling us that there were 5 lesser offenders and that lyth only deserves a perma?

Good job on the assumption elevator once again. I only voted yes on the people I felt were really harmful, and that's three out of the lot that was on the initial list (and that was far more than 6).

My message was simply a generic one. All admins were requested to provide a message.

ignoring the French sarcasm, it surprises me that you state that you only voted yes for half but the report of the banning states otherwise.
Doesn't this just show even more that before the banning, the admins were still in disagreement about this move yet the thread shows unity on agreement of the decision taken?

Furthermore, the generalization statement lead to this mess in the first place. The thread states that the admins will give reasons but then the reasons for the most part are generalized and blanketed and until now we thought the people deciding on the ban were in full agreement.

Guess not.

I vowed to myself not to involve myself in the llama drama that is the egos of most people with any form importance, but this is just pure gold and too hard to resist.

The admins see what they need to see because they earned their right to be in that position in one way or another. We, the community, have not earned that right. Hypocritical of me to say it due to past transgressions but that was then and this is now.

What I am saying is the 'demands' made by 'the devs' remind me strikingly of Spaztic and Doj's renegade DPC project to hijack the server or the community will suffer for the admins reluctance to yield to demands.

So what you spend countless hours coding, programming and file editing to develop a game for the community to enjoy? You don't do it to get personal gain or payment (and if you do, shame on you for ultimately cheating) but instead you do it for the love of the game. So remember that while you rest on up there on your high horse, you aren't punishing the admins but instead the wider community as a whole. Like a kid smashing others sand castles because he has to go home.

So I encourage you to stay on strike, quit even. The game may stagnate for a while but eventually others that enjoy the game and the stuff you do will fill your shoes. Hell, I'll volunteer to do what I can and heaven forbid how you would loathe that.

So your friends got banned because of whatever reason, I can imagine it was something long coming considering who it was that was reprimanded. So allow me to propose a grown up thing to do; pull your heads out of the clouds and encourage your friends to do the same. I did my time, learned valuable lessons and have come back to enjoy a game that doesn't revolve around one or two people but a few hundred people who enjoy the same thing.

This isn't your mod to control, it's the peoples who also spent time and effort to create it what it is. Also take into consideration those who have donated generously to keep the server for the rest of us. Are you seriously going to rip them off?

I am surprised that you like to keep tooting that old horn after all these years, especially after having mutually come to the conclusion that it was not the case. And you should know best as you too were a part of the DPC and contributed your own fair share of interesting information to the chat we were in - apart from being given the insurance that if you do get banned, you will be shown how to circumvent the ban Karlotta style. At that time you seemed quite thrilled about that notion. Pull up your old skype logs and remind yourself of what people were in there and what things were usually discussed and how DPC ended to becoming Doj going on a cheating spree after a certain individual was recruited by him that made DPC go to hell.

The DPC when you and me joined was just an earlier version of what now is referred to as the "Teamspeak Squad" and both were and are fun places to be a part of. The difference is that DPC's newest recruit ended up giving up his toys in the chat and that lead to the shaitfest that followed suit.

I think a lot of people would be surprised how much drama over the years here was manufactured.

Or maybe, they wouldn't.

Lol DPC is still remembered as a thing? I suppose I remember them too. You can bet I chuckled when I saw the staff list. Well Alt does bring up a point I agree with. Any of the staff is replaceable. I'd send the devs who don't want to work packing. We've had plenty come and it never ended disco. Wow I agreed with Alt.
