Seconded.

As a [LN] member, I'd revel in some new interactions. Gallia's dying, and I think this would help to revive the practically dead house. It would also make sense in the inRP scene, due to the whole invasion and supply chains being cut off.

While I wouldn't be too pleased seeing Gallic indies in Cali from a character PoV, I'd absolutely love to see the LN secondary take on Gallia in Cali on an almost day-to-day basis. It'd make the war feel more like a war, and would bring the whole thing that much closer to home. Plus, it'd give the Rogues something to do as well. (I'm looking at you, Torpedoes....)

Please give GRN Cali ZoI. It's strange for me to say this, but if there's one thing Gallia does right, it's make a scene. The ZoI should reflect that.

GRN has held Lorraine quite tightly ever since they retook it from Council shortly after the minefield breach. A sizeable fleet prevented any meaningful Council advance to the system since then, although it's also true Lorraine wasn't really a priority target after those events.

During it's advance the GRN took over the majority of the Tau Region, Leeds, basically Magellan too, and is now sieging California. Extending ZoI on the GRN IDs would meant to represent such advance as well as to provide further PvP opportunities. Roleplay background to support it is solid enough in my opinion.

So, a lot that has happened before I joined. So, when the new update is out, we'll see these kind of changes? Thanks for all the explanations.

I'm making this thread because I think that the server needs a major war, otherwise it will stagnate and perhaps even diminish. The Nomad event was nice (for the humans at least) and LN are as active as always, but the GRN have been complaining for some time already that their backyard is decaying in monotony. The faction leader himself has even quit.

I think that the GRN ID should get California as part of the ZOI. Not soon™, but soon. Just my opinion.

No, the storyline for this is already written, for the most part.

System changes, however, are going slower because about half the system modders are on RL leave or are on strike. And unfortunately, there's not much to be done about that right now.

As for the California ZoI for the GRN ID, that's doubtful to occur any time soon. While "Texas mk2" might seem appealing for some people from a gameplay perspective, it wouldn't work very well in that regards. Also, lore-wise, the GRN aren't stupid enough to actually push head on into heavily-defended Liberty core territory before finishing off its major problems elsewhere first.

Does this mean GRN now turns back to finish what was left unfinished and deal with the rest of Bretonia, or at least try to?

And it would be wise for them to do so by continuing raids on Manchester, Newcastle, and New London while it cuts off Liberty from Bretonia by trying to take Cortez. That way, they can play defensive with the LN in the border worlds while squeezing the BAF to death. Forays into California are primarily a feigned attack tactic to cause great confusion and fear, and apparently it's worked out quite well so far.

Unfortunately for the GRN, however, this strategy involves a lot of fronts, making them unable to focus too much on those pests in the Taus (IKN, CR, C), but it's no worry, they can be quashed later on. Oh and yes, they do have a sizable garrison defending Lorraine and Lyonnais, which are presently cut off from the remainder of Gallic House Space.

You have to be joking...
I hope you don't plan to remove Bretonia from the face of the game or leave bretonians with just 1 system and 2 -3 stations. That isn't a smart move, many like to role play as bretonians and they won't love to have the Gallic invasion take over every single Bretonian system and turn it into Gallic space. This can continue with California and whole Liberty in a year or two if we continue this way. In the end, we end up everyone playing as GRN.
(I know, I exaggerated a bit in order to make it easier to understand) Don't take over whole Bretonia, please. Sad

Don't worry, no one is taking over Bretonia. Let alone the tea!
