I represent Williams-Mordhauser Distributing - a shipping firm incorporated on Malta with certain connections throughout House space and the outer worlds. It is our understanding that we have certain enemies in common; the Liberty Navy, the Cretans, the Gallians, and so on. It is also our understanding that the Kusari trade routes, both legal and less-than, currently suffer from a severe drought of activity. Most days one would barely see a single unescorted Samura or Kishiro transport plying the lanes, to say nothing of BD, GC or KNF interdiction and patrols. The height of activity was a KNF Battleship who did not respond to Mister Williams' invitation to 'catch [him] if he could'

The Board of Directors is in unanimous agreement - this is an excellent business opportunity. Fresh routes, no patrols, new contacts to make, and plenty of credits waiting to fall into our bank accounts. The only thing we need is information. From what we can tell, your civilian population is entirely uninterested in C, and we have already soured our reputation far too much to trade in A, even if we wanted to. Similarly, most Kusari installations are wholly uninterested in Pittsburgh Premium Scrap, and we have neither co-ordinates nor prices for any installations willing to buy Rheinland arms or Detroit warheads.

A business arrangement between our two organizations would be mutually beneficial. The only question is, are you interested?

The Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to formally apologize for any perceived slights in our prior communication. Professional scoundrels that we are, we are largely ignorant of Kusari culture and traditions and would like to assure you that any wounded GC pride originates from misunderstanding rather than malice.

In the interests of brevity, WMD will address your second and third queries first. While you may find our publicly-available corporate registry and message boards in the transmission footer of any official communication, a summary will be presented here. Williams-Mordhauser Distributing is an organization of professional smugglers incorporated under Maltese law. Unlike most smuggling organizations, WMD elects to approach our profession with highly-effective corporate methodologies, including (but not limited to) market research, price volatility analysis, commodity demand incentivization, high-interest layaway and competition discouragement. In the (paraphrased) words of our Chief Executive Officer, we traffick human organs from people we dislike, and traffick "Instant Armies, Just Add Manpower" to people we do.

With regards to your first inquiry, it is the experience of the Board that, while trade-lanes allow goods to be transported across the sector faster than light, the transmission of information is faster still. Williams-Mordhauser maintains a highly active market research division dedicated to analyzing the information flowing throughout Sirius, especially with regards to current events that potentially influence our line of work. As personal assistant and executor to the board of directors here at WMD, I am privy to such information as the CEO deems necessary. This includes surveys, market research, and assorted public-domain trade statistics compiled over the years. The economics of Sirius are entirely transparent when viewed through this lens, and Kusari space is no exception. Rumor and gossip travel along the trade lanes as surely as any cargo, but with the exception of a large skirmish in the past few days we've heard very little from Kusari space for quite some time. The silence speaks quite clearly.

The Board of Directors would also like to draw attention to the fact that the GC Manifesto is public-domain, both as official state-backed propaganda and the somewhat more clandestine original version. Williams-Mordhauser Distributing habitually attempts to refrain from making inquiries to which the answer may be easily located, publicly-available, or otherwise quickly obvious - we humbly request that we be afforded the same courtesy. These documents contain both the diplomatic ties and stated enemies of the Golden Chrysanthemums as well as your stated goal of overthrowing the Kusari government and, roughly paraphrased, getting the men to treat us like people rather than furniture.

Time and again, history has proven that an armed conflict will reliably be won by the faction with the greatest gestalt of industrial capacity and military capability, multiplied by technological advantage and influenced by quality of leadership. We at Williams-Mordhauser Distributing are in the business of supplying three of those four advantages in industrial quantities with a commercial approach.
