We now have all that special equipments slots on most of the ships class , but we have no equipment to mount on them !
Why don't we come up with some ideas what equipment can be mounted and listed here ?

Just Suggestions please , no posts like "that equipment will ruin game" "your ideas are bad" and like !

We will trow in some ideas and people in charge will decide what idea is good enough and if can be made in game , OK ?

I will start with couple of ideas :

Additional Cargo size pod :
-like in original Elite where you can enhance you cargo from 20 to 35 tons , just in this case it will be like 10% additional cargo ,
Additional power to Scanner 1 .
-Your scanner range is enhanced by 4000/1000 ,
Additional power to Scanner 2 :
-Your scanner range is enhanced by 1000/4000 ,
Scanner disruptor ( or stealth mode for ship enhancer ) :
-You are invisible to player scanners , unless under 3000 meters from player ,
Thruster disabler device :
-Enemy thruster is disabled for 2 minutes , 4 minutes device recharge time , perfect for slowing down trader , and preventing him to reach safe dock at base in time ,
Cruse Disruptor defense unit 1( version ) :
-it prevents you from being CD unless if attacker is closer than 500 meters ( no more "you can stop trader from faaar away" , but if you manage to come close to them , they are helpless ) ,
Cruse Disruptor defense unit 2 ( couple of variant possible ) :
-fully protects you from one or two CD type ( like Reinforced and Train which is used in 99% cases ) , leaving you vulnerable to others ( perhaps here every player can set-up resistance to certain CD , like Reinforced and Train CD, which will leave him vulnerable to Mosquito , Hornet and Wasp CD ) , players will start to use weaker CD types more ,
Cloak disruptor jammer :
-Enemy cannot take you out of cloak , but your power core is zero while under cloak ,
Battleship Cruise Disruptor :
-it is about time, isn't ?
Additional Armor :
-enhance your Armour by additional x 1.0 ,
Additional Shield energy unit:
-enhance your shield strength by 20% and shield regeneration speed by 30% ,
Additional power core :
-enhance your power recharge by 20 % ,
Additional weapon strength:
-enhance your weapon strength by 10 % ,
Additional weapon slot :
-change one Secondaries slot to a Heavy one ( light mortar in Bustard , third razor in Gunboat ) ,
Additional ship speed :
-20% increase in speed for Battleships , 10% if ship has thruster ,
Additional ship cruise speed
-10% increase in speed ,
Additional Contra Measure slot:
-alowes you to mount CM and cloak/cloak disruptor , or to have CM slot on 5000 k ships ,
Shock-wave defense unit ( aka "snub , leave me alone") :
-creates blast radius around you , throwing-off ships away from you at distance between 3000-9000 meters depends on your and opponents size and allowing you chance to try to flee , especially useful if you are in a Battleship and some joker in light fighter think it is fun to CD you for eternity ,
Decoy Drone:
-create false image of your ship for a short time ( lets say 10 seconds ) that will fly in opposite direction of you ( or in direction you have fly in moment of activation ) , in same time you will be "erased" and "lock-off" from opponents HUD and aim for same time ,
Decoy Drone 2:
-creates image of ( to you ) friendly/allied/same faction Battleship patrol , which confuses your player opponent . Imagine you are in Outcast cruiser , you stop Inter Space Liner in New York , he activate decoy Drone 2 ( maybe he trow in couple of comments like : "hey Liberty Dread patrol , kill him , kill him" ) , all of a sudden you see Liberty Battleship patrol closing fast toward you , guns blazing toward you , ( although nothing will hit you since only image ) , you will feel intimidated and confused for short time , certainly try to evade them which will give Liner chance for action ,
Asteroids:
-you can "drop" asteroid from your ship ( asteroid size depends on your size , or alternative , have to pick asteroids before use ) , depends of your speed and direction of movement asteroid will continue on your course in moment of drooping , you can use it as projectile weapon at front or mine for chasers , asteroids vanish 20 seconds after drop ,
Obsolete weapon modifier :
-alowes SOME bigger ships to equip weapons from weaker class ( for example fighter missiles or mines on capitols secondaries slots ) .

Equipment will be divided in to Types , so that you can only equip certain equipment on certain class , for example :
Type 2 are Additional Cargo size pod and Additional power to Scanner 1 , you can mount both on 2 slots of same size , or 2 cargo enhancement or 2 scanner enhancement ,
Type 3 will be Speed enhancements , additional CD equipment and "slow your enemy" equipment ,
Carrier bays will mounted Decoy Drones , so good for carriers , since they can mount couple of them for bigger effect ,
Type 1 . will be Additional Armor , Additional Shield energy unit and Additional power core and weapon slot .
Players will have vast selection of equipment and choice to set up ships to their needs and style of play . Good aimers will mount additional power or weapons on Capitols , while others will mount armor or shield , traders will mount better scanners or cargo size to get more money or to be safer , Carriers will mount decoy Drones , etc , etc , infinite possibilities .

More ideas ?

A lot of these ideas sound fun and all, though they require someone to know how program them in using FLHook. (At least some of these are possible and won't look too messy)
Sadly that's something we lack right now.

Too much of that is abrely makeable for the devs and also not really necessary, BS Cruise disrupter is not a bad idea tbh but almost everything on the above will never happen Big Grin

I didn't read the OP because it was too messy but,

Battleship Missiles already have a cruise disrupting effect.

I didn't read the OP because it was too messy but,

Battleship Missiles already have a cruise disrupting effect.

They are way too slow though and can be easily disabled by flaks

Not really
You have to fire 10 15 flaks to disable a battleship missile and battleship cant fire 10 15 flaks because of stupid energy requirements

most of these aren't possible with the current engine. You will have to wait for PSF.
