@Corile
I think Beethoven would be insulted if he heard his masterpiece turned into dubstep.

Also nomnom, I think you ought to clarify the actual definition of CLASSICAL music.

"serious or conventional music following long-established principles rather than a folk, jazz, or popular tradition."

That would imply that you are using traditional instrumental and vocal means, not a trap-pad and computer programming. I could always start up the argument of "is electronica music or not" but this is a classical music thread, not a place to post dubstep remixes of classical, baroque, and contemporary pieces that have had an electronic beat thrown behind.

Have some respect for the art, please.

How exactly does one exclude the other?

I personally find dubstep remixes of classical music some of the most amazing and interesting things to listen to. Speaking from the perspective of someone who has actually made several pieces of dubstep and other electronic music, a lot of work actually goes to the rearrangement of the source material (you have to often rearrange the source material to create thing beyond just melody like the bassline, synths and pads), especially in an instance like Kaskobi's remix that I linked which uses quite a complex bassline.

And if you think that making good dubstep/bass/electronic music is easy (which seems to be implied by "dubstep remixes of classical, baroque, and contemporary pieces that have had an electronic beat thrown behind") then you seriously need to look into how this stuff is actually made. This is not just the case of "throwing an electronic beat behind it" but - as I said previously - rearrangements, sound design, sample picks, mixing, mastering and in this case also performance (Launchpad is much harder to master than it seems) all take an incredibly long time, a lot of effort and knowledge to put together.

While I like the remix posted by Venk much less than the one I posted, I still think it's a valid link for a classical music appreciation thread.

To be honest I think Beethoven would have enough sense to appreciate that someone put probably more than a hundred hours of effort into putting his composition into a form more accessible and interesting to the modern audience.

However I think it is evident by the several threads you posted in over the last couple of hours that you have no idea what you're talking about.

I sit on the toilet for a long time sometimes. Is the quality of what I produce better based on time?
