Nomad remains

I'm having trouble getting nomad fighter remains without having to buy them. Sure, I could buy them but that's no fun and besides, there has to be an in-game way that the sellers got their hands on them.

I want to know how.

I tried killing nomad fighters-form light to VHF class, flying indie and also with NPC missions, all they drop is alien organisms, of no use to me.
The gunboats have only been the one class that I have been able to farm remains from but I need all other kinds too.
Before going and trying for Battleship remains, I wish to be sure whether they drop them or are glitches like fighters.
Also, a little light on the best place to farm each type would be much appreciated.

If you shoot any Nomad they drop remains, you should not be having any issues... unless im missing something here.

The Nom predator npcs don't seem to drop remains (Scan them. )Which is problematic.

I tried Delta, Minor, Major and Iota. No fighters dropped any remains. Next time I will scan, didn't know the remains would show up in scanner xD

The only nomad npcs that drop fighter remains are those LVL 19 Snubs that escort Nomad Gunboats. Any other nomad fighters will not drop remains except the gb snub escorts!! They usually fly in packs of two with a nomad gb in the middle.

no drop unless you can see the remains in their hull

Didn't get any drops in missions either. Tried nomad missions with order, Wilde missions with KNF in Tohoku, only gunboats drop remains and that they do always but never snubs.
