It's not up to them to remove it: If the Discovery Admins want this to be removed, they can tell me.. I'm still angry that they're being so "legal eagle" about sound tracks they DO NOT OWN, they can't make the decisions for it.

Since nobody can pick up the hint of what I'm trying to say, all future comments regarding "PERMISSIONNNN PLS" will be ignored...

Crossfire devs, if there is a track in here YOU MADE, then let me know and it's gone. Otherwise, you don't own the rights to these songs, and everyone else who makes a music pack is just as guilty as I am, as I doubt they ask every song's creator for permission --- we're on a game played by a few hundred people. Does this REALLY matter?

Except it is their content and they have the RIGHT to claim it.

If the Artists aren't allowing it, take it down. Fair use is ONLY APPLICABLE IF THERE IS A TRANSFORMATIVE PURPOSE. It is not modified in ANY way nor is it a parody, you are violating creative commons, which also to an extent is violating the forum rules, it isn't your material, you do NOT have the permission to publicly claim or release it.

Until we get in touch with the Crossfire team to validate this claim, this thread will be locked and the link invisibled for the time being.
Fair use is fair use, but in the past Discovery Freelancer has requested other mods to honor our-made items. It is only fair that they can do the same. We will keep you up to date.

After speaking with one of their peeps, the whole story is this.

Some of the music is commissioned by them.
Some of the music is licensed by them.

Some is free - the exact tiles will be listed as soon as they double-check which ones are which.

The issue with your modpack is that in the case of the later two - you did not look up the music yourself, but rather you ripped it from their mod. Had you implemented them yourself, it would not be an issue in their eyes.
