The 106th battlegroup had been on active duty since months, and this was the first week of relief (less or more) she had given to her men. As such, the Citadelle was manned only by a skeleton crew, and passed most its day in Norfolk for extended maintenance, while doing small patrol from time to time to support local naval units.

All in all, the men were happy, as they were relayed every 12 hours to take their time off, and enjoy the various entertainment available in New York system.

A good thing this bar wasn't too frequented by her own men, Isabelle thought, as she pushed open the door. She reflected it would have been nice if Jimmy came with her, but decided against waking up the younger man who was still asleep in her naval shuttle craft. No need to break the sleep of her lover, she could enjoy entertainment alone after all.

Isabelle entered the bar for the first time since a very long while, and smiled to see the same bartender of service that night. Not too unexpetedly, some of the men - mostly pilots, turned their head to look at the newcomer, a superisingly young female general in her black and dark blue uniform. She looked around, ignoring the stares, and saw nothing much has changed from her last visit.
She also saw Copperfield, and smiled as she walked toward him.
"Hi David, how are you?" she asked pleasantly, as she ordered a light drink, sitting next to him. The man definitively seemed to need some company, she thought, and beside, she did talked to the man many time, hence decided to adopt a more familiar speech pattern.

*The young man in the UKMG uniform aproched the door to the bar once again only pausing to flick the dieing embers of his smoke onto the pavment ignoring the glare from an LPI officer. He hoisted his carbine higher on his back resting his hand on the stock and entered.*

*The young man paused at the door and took stock of the patrons and saw noone he needed to be concerned about. He took his seat at the bar and called for the bartender and rested a kit bag on the counter and the bottles inside clinked together.*

"Aye aye barkeep iv got an offer for you he called".

"Bonjour Isabelle, it is nice to see you here, I'm not so bad, but it has been quite a harsh day on my side, a gopher shot down one of my men...arghhh... But anyway we are all here to enjoy the eve not to fret for those who won't come back..."

David look outside and see the appealing terrace and the naked sky

"Why don't we go on the terrace so you could tell me your day? Sky is clear and the night is hot with a lil breeze."

Isabelle nodded, as they headed outside, where the cool breeze of the night made up for a nice temperature in the warm season of the planet. From their position, they could observe the city scape below, illuminated by thousands of lights, and seemingly extending indefinitively toward every direction; Manhattan planetary city was indeed immense and a beautiful sight by night time.

"Sorry for your losses, David... hope it'll be fine." She shook slightly her head, embarassed as she looked at the far away, holding on one of the terrace' support column. She wasn't really good with these kind of speeches...

"As for my day... hm" she made a faint smile, "I've actually set the boys free for a few days. Been way too long since I offered myself or anyone in the unit any leave time. The Citadelle is moored for maintenance, and well, I thought I'd come here and see if any of my friends were around."

She chuckled slightly, looking at David,
"How about you? Anything going around with the LSF? I've been a bit out of contact these last few days, didn't checked my data terminal for news. Hope the government didn't crumbled while I was away!" She added, an amused tone to her voice.

sigh. " Well, we are having troubles with Rheinland... The have entered our territory lately with a full squadron. Hopefully, they have left without spoiling any blood"

"And I heard that a few days ago, Three Zoner-expeditionary Battlestars were flying right in front of Manhattan, while there was a Foreign Battleship ban in effect. But now they are all banned from Liberty until they prove themselves Trust worthy enough to be able to come back"

He then looks at her.

"So, yea, You have missed a lot, but anyway, we are not at job right now, we are in a place made for refreshments and enjoyments. So, What would you like to drink?"

Mathew sighed as he walked towards the Bar & Lounge, he was decked out in his full SA Navy Uniform, his Captain pips on his collar, a blue peaked Navy hat on his head, overall giving him the look of one of the old Navy captains of old earth. His smooth blonde hair was neat and tidy under his hat while his ice-blue eyes swept the area, briefly spying the female General and Copperfield, giving them a brief nod he walks inside and towards the bartender, orders a Liberty Ale and sits down calmly, sipping his drink.

He relaxed as he drank his ale, keeping calm and even as he tried to get fully calmed down, he had just come from the Luna-A, there was a problem with the Razor that had been installed, the emitter matrix was out of alignment and would take several hours of careful calibrations to get it back into alignment...Not to mention individual crew problems, his ship had a crew of 20 men, and he was getting sick of processing the paperwork for granting shore-leave, Crew Duty Rosters and the like...

Tritoneas pushed the bar door aside to see a very lively and albeit overly-wattered crowd.
Adjusting his White Captain's overcoat he enters the bar.
Tritoneas signals the bartender for a liberty ale.
The bartender pours the ale and slides it across the bar in a very early earth texas bar fashion.
The ale was blander than usual today. A lot of the well-intigrated brass hadnt been in the bar for weeks.
It wasnt a stretch to think that profits were wanning.
Nobody tipped as well as the SA and LSF that was for sure.

There was one issue that came to mind while attending the Manhatten bar and Lounge.
That was the constant threat of overly zealous Outcast Destroyer/Cruiser Attack groups.
Five Destroyers/Cruisers had been engaged by Tritoneas in last's month's duty timeslots alone.
It was long suspected that the Trafficking of the Outcast Warmachine was definately not restricted to just Outcast Captains.
Just today a Destroyer and Gunboat attack group was found entering orbit around Manhatten. Luckily Tritoneas was there at the time of engagement or many innocent civilians and traders would have died at the hands of the Outcast cardamine-fueled blood run. The damage they caused to Tritoneas Battlecruiser was significant. In fact the very reason Tritoneas was in the MBL was for a few emergency fixes. There wasnt enough time to even get to Baltimore with the life support fluxuating like it was. The Manhatten Mooring would have to do for the time being for some quick fixing. Just so he could get to Norfolk for a complete hull re-construction and system overhall.

Tritoneas looked down at his glass to see it empty.

"Bartender, Another round of Lib ale. This time dont water it down please."

Tritoneas wandered if any other Navy affiliates would grace the Bar and Lounge today.
Sitting alone with an Ale wasnt a very stimulating past-time.

Pixar walked into the lounge area, his eyes scanned the crowd and they stopped on one fellow sitting alone in the corner. He walked over and sat down.

"Aint you gonna order a drink." said the figure.
"I`m not staying", said Pixar, and he leaned closer.

"You sent me a message that you`d found my uncle. What is it?"
"You aint gonna like it kid, your uncle is dead."

Pixar looked down, "I thought as much. I sent him messages and he`d not replied. It wasn`t like him not to reply."

"Kid, there`s work for you with us if you want it." said the figure, "Your uncle would want you to work for us."

"My uncle was a pirate, he hated the LSF, why would I want that much attention"

Pixar turned to look around the room. LSF officers and pilots were busy drinking and guffawing and generally enjoying themselves during their time off.

"The LSF killed your uncle Pixar. I think you know why, but thats irrelevant. You`re a skilled pilot, we could use you. Besides, some in the LSF are corrupt, you can`t trust some of them, so trust none of them. They`d hunt you down and kill you just for calling them names. Join us Pixar."

Pixar stood up, tears began to show in his eyes, "I`ll call you, John. Tell mum I love her." He began to walk out through the thinning crowd. John called out after him...

"Pixar, your uncle. You should know. He was...." but the last words of the sentence were drowned out. Pixar stopped but did not turn round.

He whispered the words "I know. God, I know....."

Somerx walked into the bar, fresh off the pads as his transport was moved into storage, his bridge crew right behind him. They spread out to two tables on the right side of the room as he moved up to the bar itself. His faded but crisp suit and the overcoat of leather and satin marked him as a successful trader if nothing else. The system patches down either arm and the back of the overcoat marked him as traveled as well. Everything from the Omegas to Kusari to Bretonia, where, based on his accent as he joked with his crew on the way in, was his place of birth, or at least raising.

Walking up to the bar, he took at look at the menu, looked back at his crew and grinned.

"Two Liberty Monster Burgers, Three New York Steaks, a Kusari Sushi and one Bretonian Lobster, please. Oh, and Bretonian Scotch all around." He leaned back momentarily, sweeping his eyes slowly over the gathered patrons in the bar. He tensed slightly as he remembered the 106th officer he passed on the way in, but shrugged mentally, already dismissing her as a possible liability. He spotted the other Naval officer and tensed again, this time much sharper, as he recognized the marks of a captain of the Liberty Navy. He relaxed himself, forcing his body into a posture that revealed nothing, dropped the money on the counter and walked over to his crew.
