Now, Zelot: Do explain to me please:

How does a faction whose only contribution will be to kill stuff that is moving in Kusari will benefit activity in Kusari?

It does not take a magician or a fortune teller to predict that people that see a FA-ID, or a tag of the FA will NOT go to Kusari.

So... I do not understand what you are trying to do there.

Kusari needs active main factions, and THEN unlawfuls will come into play, and THEN lawfuls will come in...

Starting out with a faction that kills everything "because we are evil!" will not have a productive impact on a House that lacks activity. I predict quite the contrary.

Who says the FA is evil? I would imagine, and hey as someone who RP's it, I'll tell you, they think they are doing what is right to protect Kusari.

Also, I'll argue with you that the only contribution the FA would have would be to kill stuff.

This alone is not some panacea to all that ails Kusari. No one idea will be or should be. If that is what you are waiting for, one idea that solves all of Kusari's problems, you're going to be waiting a long time.

This along with some good trade routes and events will bring activity to Kusari, but something like this can get it started. I don't know what you mean by "main factions" but I always considered the FA a main faction in Kusari. More FA will mean more KNF, and I promise you, even though you think people will be pushed away from Kusari, there are traders who look for a challenge, both in trading safety and in rp, they will come, also, the GMG will come. The factions that are active in the Kusari area are praying for an active FA, because it gives everyone in Kusari someone to fight.

Now, do you have any ideas, because what I see is a Kusari that has been stagnating for quite a while and needs a jumpstart of energy from somewhere, I am just putting up ideas to get that started.

P.S: Put the current ID in here, so people can compare.

Xeno's for sure, and I hear talk that the Gaians have one too. Each house has a vanilla faction that is supposed to be a terrorist faction.

Rheinland doesn't, actually. Rheinland has always been the odd one out though in terms of unlawfuls.

But yes, the Xeno and Gaian IDs are tantamount to terrorist IDs, and it works just fine for them.

The LWB are terrorists, but they are more of a cuddly-terrorist-group, usually not really into bombing and killing everyone they see Smile

Do you really think you need the 'treat transports as combat targets' line?

In fact I do.
Activity cycles start with trade factions and mining factions, so that would mean Kishiro and Samura would have to become something. From this basis of traffic and activity, unlawfuls can flourish and by unlawful activity House lawfuls are attracted. That's a standard Disco activity cycle.

Now, let's look at the currect situation: there is little to nothing going on in Kusari. There are a few traders that pass it. That's, sadly, all there is.

In that situation, add a faction that is literally killing you every time / or kill your cargo. Guess what? Disco is not a place any more where people go for the challenge. It has become really really soft. Log on, and traders will move around you in wide circles, log off, play somewhere else. If you do not believe it, ask Impy who had to untag his JM ships in Sigmas because literally the whole region died out when JM was spotted.

I doubt that it is a good idea to turn predators loose in an environment that already has little population.

What has been stopping that from happening over the last 3 years or so?

I am also a bit concerned that the leader of a Kusari adjacent trading faction's response to there being a more challenging situation is that traders will stop going there.
