Admin Notice: Temporary removal of the Setmsg command

I didn't read every post here but i guess MaxR1159 brings it to the point!
But there is something else i would like to mention here.
I dont't know if everyone here has spoken about jumping. If yes - i must apologize.

For me it was fantastic as Alley brought the "Jumpmacro" which works like the setmsg. command. in game.
Now it is hard for me to jump and type a lot of numbers and letters in the chat while roleplay. Yeah right i am a very slow typer and an Old man....
For people like me the : /savecoords command, was a awesome gift! Maybe there is a solution..

I think it has done more harm now to remove the /1/2 thank to keep it.
People have forgotten how to rp good and the rp have experienced during this time is crap.
You gave the community a thing and they learned to use it and adapted to it... And then it got taken away and they are worse without having it. Like... Before and after electricity.

Its seriously a shame but yeah... There is less effort now to roleplay than it was before.

I don't know Nom, I think you are looking at the past through rose colored glasses. There hasn't been a time when I have been here that the question of low quality of rp wasn't constantly discussed. From U Rus? To Lolwut? This has always existed on the server. I have been back playing about 2 months now and I haven't found there to be much difference in the level of rp from when I left to know, which is to say I haven't seen much change in the level of rp in most of the time since I started. This isn't anything now and it hasn't gotten dramatically worse and as someone who was around, I'll tell you it isn't any worse than it was before setmsg. Setmsg didn't cause this, it is the nature of the beast.

What we have learned from this:
People will continue to be jerks with or without /setmsg because it is ultimately an attitude issue and not a gameplay issue.

Nothing more to say than this , jerks will be jerks command or no command enabled . Question is , do all other players have to suffer unfortunate consequences and inconvenience because of jerks ?

People always complain about the RP, there are always people who say they leave for the RP. Trying to assign blame to setmsg is well, to be plain and simple, stupid.

I still believe the removal or setmessages is a good thing, it means people have to put that extra bit of effort into there roleplay which makes it meaningful and more enjoyable, I have noticed it alot the roleplay is lacking but this is because people have been out of the roleplay loop for a long time now. Please keep it like this it is more enjoyable than those /l1 /l2 engagements and what not.
