The base wasn't repairing itself tho. The shield was online.

It's still very small time, 20 mins according to the latest admin update... which is close to impossible?

From the moment is started dropping hull until it's destruction, 7 minutes have passed. Do I need to mention that killing Solitaire took hours and it was Core 4. Reutlingen was Core 5 and it took that fast. As far as I have seen Hessians didn't have 50 battleships to make this kind of fast DPS.
So a normal cerb does 45,000 damage
times 3 per Jorm, and with 20 or so of them there
Thats a subtotal of 2,700,000 perhit of all 60 cerbs at once
Given that a core 5 pob has 32,000,000 standard health and since it was on full health starting at that with full regens (of all 6) it'd repair 60,000 damage per 20 seconds. Now given it was shielded, the cerbs would only do 1% of their original damage, that'd be only 450 damage per hit of a cerb, which time 60 is is 27,000 a second.
So putting that together,
32,000,000 health getting damaged at 27,000 a second, would take only 1,185.18 seconds, or properly, 19.75 minutes
There's your math
Small edit:
Even with it repairing 60k per 20 seconds, its still taken 27k PER second in return, it was HEAVILY out DPS'd faster then it could even repair, so even if its repairing 60k per 20 seconds, it still would of taken 540k damage by those 20 seconds, in which case it'd only repair 60k damage, meaning it took 480k damage which equals out to even more in the grand scheme of time
I also did the math. I was there on a cloaked ship ready to take the positions and move the turrets. I also saw that many of those ships were shooting prims because the base turrets were nailing them when they got closer and they couldn't shoot cerbs not to mention that they didn't shoot it at the same time because of the weapon platforms shooting back. You can even see it on the video in the topic.
Edit: They didn't have that kind of BS force. Plus they had Cruisers, GBs and repair ships which ment they had less BSes.

Cruisers and only one newbie jorm were shooting prims.
EDIT: On the pic that we took in o-54 after the siege we had 16 Jorms, it were not all of them obviously.
There were 16 battleships, a gunboat, a cruiser and some repair ships. So your calculation is not correct. Of whom there were not even all shooting Cerberus. Last time you were even with over 20 battleships and you did not manage to harm the station at all.
Looks like a fair kill to me. It would have been an issue if the base health instantly dropped to zero, which would have indicated a bug. Judging by Sombra's video and the pics posted by Geolog, -seems- like everything worked as intended.
