We had custom user titles in ye olde days after reaching a certain post count. Then we had mod assigned user titles. Then they took them all away.

The faction leader group with dark blue names was created specifically for this (and also for better visibility), with the hopeful thought it would entice FLs to care a little more about their faction. Oh boy how wrong were we.

As for titles, it used to be a thing in the past. The community was also much more reasonable back then. I'm doubtful the same trust can be extended these days without having a flood of top memes. Mind you, for the very short amount of time FLs were allowed to set their title themselves, we already had a quarter of them using memes instead of their faction name.

The current state of the community does not allow us to do so and would, in the end, only add another things Mods need to moderate on top of things. However, if it helps, we can simply honor this decision and remove all current custom titles. I just need to click one button to do that. It will reset all of them to the name of their default usergroup.
