So I have been looking around at the house laws, and it seems every house charges for building bases. I have absolutely no problem with that, though some of the costs are pretty high.
My concern comes to the question is what is being done with that money. Bases have basically become a money generator for the house government groups.
But what I wonder is if the let's say, 200 mil that is paid to the Bretonian government is not being used by some player to fun their other characters or something like that.

We ask for transparency from the admins, but why not ask for it from the faction leaders.
I was under the impression that it fed the credits on the Military PoB's and kept the Bounty Boards open

The money that CR taxes goes towards CR ships, repairs, ammunition and so forth, not only that but to fund the Bounty Board itself as ooRP CR does not have anymore than 1 billion. I am always adding money to the CR Treasury out of my own pocket but I do not mind doing.

I'm curious, that's why I am asking for the information.
Yes, that, for example. Also for funding government projects. For example, it was used as reward for shipments during the project about constructing the Bretonian carrier prototype. It will probably be used soon for the Leeds counteroffensive preparations. It can also be used for making shared ships, which I believe it has been used for in the past, but currently there are enough of them, at least in the BAF.
If you pay the fee to pirates at least you know what it is being used for. And I really dont mind paying the RHA as long as they keep causing havoc and keep people on the move
I am convinced most of the "official factions" receiving those fees are just blowing it all on ships, booze and cardi, anyway...they are not getting a single credit out of my ship, booze and cardi wallet.
I think the fees should go to some admin account, really. Otherwise its just a license to print money for those lawfuls - and their only justification is the fact that they were "there first".

Doesn't sound like any kind of Government **Sarcastic undertone**

I dont see them building new trade lanes or protecting the people! All they do is take our jawbs! And overreaching! And reaching around one another! Its overall just a massive gagglef*ck! Bring all dem pirates into office, they at least are good at their jawbs! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
When I was [LN], these costs generally went to a central treasury (Central Liberty Internal Treasury) which helped pay for bounty board upkeep.
In the case of Liberty, I don't believe that this has changed and as far as I'm aware, factions generally don't use it for purposes outside the faction as that would essentially be embezzlement of public funds.

Edit: Wrong account, this is Zelot posting.
Seeing as you brought up about the Bretonian Government, I will answer this. The 'one off payment' goes to the Government Coffers and is used to fund the Bretonian Bounty Board. It is not used to fund anybody's private Accounts. It has been used to fund some BAF Shared Ships and that is as far as it has gone.
