At this point I would say yes, but after all the garbage I have tried to do in my short timespan, I just have to deal with it all.

Now that doesn't stop me trying to help out people who really need it, but its no use trying to complain about the problems the more experienced players doing what they call 'fun'

I'm happy with the game. I'm here now active consecutively for more than half a year, with a good amount of forum RP posts, one dedicated main character and a few characters that were created just to try out things, be it pirating, smuggling, salvaging or other stuff, and more than 200 footage videos with an average time of more than an hour - so I can fill a week with it. I have a certain luck with my encounters so far and was able to find a neat non-faction group to RP on a daily basis on a level I couldn't do with anyone else, I guess. No, not cyber, but roleplaying a daily life, in a belletristic way. Not everything needs to be about the neverending battle between humans and nomads, Order and Core and what not, so I like that.

I try to have RP always in the focus, and while I don't expect much from people, I'm often positively surprised when stumbling across some decent RPs, both on forum and ingame - latest example may be the AFC blind jump race recently, with @JorgeRyan and @James Greed but also other cool encounters. Maybe it's the fact that characters without a big goal like "conquering the Omicrons" or something are just more chilled and fun to encounter. Not everything just ensues to a battle, and as I PvP-noob, I appreciate that.

So far, PvP is the only thing that constantly causes redfaced conversations, people shitting on other platforms about people and what not. I rarely log for that, but even then I always keep the chances for negotiations open, as it's definitely always the more interesting way of interation than just pewpewpew - imo.

I don't know. In all that time I ended up with two people on my ignore list, one of them because he's trolling quite often and the other because he can't write a single post without insulting someone directly or indirectly. Given how everyone says the community is incredibly toxic and looking how big the community still is, I think that's a good statistic. Only two of what, maybe a few hundreds? Every now and then there is reason to be mad at someone, but boy, that's maybe for a few weeks and later one can laugh about, I don't know, instakilling people boasting about shooting a snub while it was writing. Those things simply happen, and after it, we all simply know better how to appropiately react.

I think the worst thing about the community is the fact that people are constantly talking about toxicity. People are talking about stuff, pushing it to a certain level and other people join and give their two cents and lots of people don't even know what the situation is. That's rather a problem. Some things are just hot air, and people tend to get mad at that air. Why even bother? It's a game, some people will always have a different opinion. As long as one can find common ground with everyone - and that common ground is provided by rules and inRP laws - everything should be fine.

I love the idea, and I definitely agree, we all need each other to create the experience going. Why childishly insult each other and be angry? If someone kills you in PvP, and you are pissed about it, they GAVE YOU A CHALLENGE, that otherwise wouldn't be here without the community.

So, respect your fellow players, we all make it fun for each other. Less reporting, get the load off the admins so they can focus on more fun things for us all to enjoy together!

great post man its something everyone needed

as a faction we try to include as many other as we can and we make in RP advances into areas that seem to be dead and lifeless such as our foray into the gallic war with the bases in leeds, very happy with the amount of activity we where able to offer the gallic char's and the daily battles with RNS in side leed (that conflict is not over ether )
also we have many more such plans for other places and factions that are low on reasons to log as well and for anyone reading this...... keep a eye out an we try as best we can to include as many factions in RP as we can an we erg people to join in, against us or with us matters not only that you get the chance to log an join the activity we try and make,

I'm in almost every military/ pvp faction on the server for the reasons you elaborated on and you're right. I also agree on your views of how someones ingame inrp actions shouldn't dictate their oorp character. My main RP character is a socialist lunatic hell bent on seeing Rhineland conformed to her image. People think its my oorp attitude as well which I've had to argue against and it's been my problem ever since I took the title of RHA leader.

Now, I try to be nice to everyone I meet, its the reason I'm in as many factions I'm in and why I've been successful as a faction leader, but its hard for me to be nice to other people when they block me on skype. Repeatedly ignore attempts to work things out, jump on me in feedback threads, and are discriminating me based on the faction I lead and the way I RP my characters.

What you're asking is what everyone wants but the reality is that if I tried to go and talk to the people that want to see me banned from the server. They'd just report me for trolling or something.

I agree....in short " be excellent to each other ". Whether you log every day for hours or you log for an hour every 3 weeks , be excellent. We all know RL can cause serious issues , but......you don't HAVE to choose to be a douch when you log in.....BE excellent. Lead by example , make it fun for ALL involved. I think that is all Zelot is asking. People seem to forget that this is where we come to have FUN.

And it starts with YOU......and you.....and me.

It's not necessarily about factions, but I get your point. So what are some ideas for people who aren't in factions that connect to help others? What could someone in like, lets say AFA do with someone who plays a Hessian? Where can we get these players working together? I don't know, I remember sometimes making groups that we knew we didn't want to be official or long term, it was just a little short term rp that we might do just because we wanted to fly together. You should want to work with new and different people here, that's part of the excitement and fun. But I am sure open to as many other ideas as people can come up with.

You couldn't of picked a better example referencing the Hessians.

Peoples hate for others goes back years. It's discrimination based on factions like Justin said. I don't hate the leader of the TBH, him and I get along well. The relations between a faction like RHA full of what people think are "hackers" and other factions has always been about as healthy as expired food. Some people I used to get along with perfectly have come to see me as the devil solely based on the faction I lead. It's not just the rival factions.
