It seems there are dozens of illegally owned outcast cap ships on the grey market. Since the outcasts no longer have control over this design is it now open to any ID?
It seems RP wise, with so many out of the outcast hands and so many people wanting to ditch them they could be bought by anyone.
of course they are not. - considering them "illegal" cause the outcast do not approve them is a matter of roleplay; - flying them with an unappropriate ID is a violation to the server rules, which demand you to match ID, IFF and ship as close as possible.
so, being illegal to the 101 / 66 does not mean you have a free roam about the ship. ( when you take the rules to the letter ) - of course it does open up room for RP, which can... in the end, - end up with an outcast capital ship in a faction that would not generally be allowed to fly them. ( depending on the plausibility of your RP )
so, when its about RP, you can of course fly basicly any ship in any faction as there are many preceeding examples. - by default though, you are not allowed to do it.
Of course I am aware of the rules, but if someone who has one and wants to get rid of it because of the hassle from this outcast civil war, and sells it to my bounty hunter or Blood Dragon character for instance, that fits in the RP, right?
It seems RP wise the 101st has created a market flood of these ships outside of outcast space.
No, that's totally Out of Roleplay...and when somebody buys an Outcast Destroyer we like to keep very thick tabs on it. If they 'don't want it anymore' then we will be more than happy to take it back. In fact, we won't give them a choice. You can try to RP that all you want, but the simple truth is if you have the wrong ID and no accepted on-forum RP to back it up with you're screwed. The 101st won't bother trying to reposess it; we'll let the Admin team make a more permanent mark.
EDIT: Any Outcasts selling capital vessels to Bounty Hunters will be declared enemies of the state and shot. We are not running a democracy.:)

I think you missed the point, you are already killing outcasts on sight if they are flying cap ships without your approval, so RP wise you have given these outcasts every reason to dispose of the ship outside of the outcast influence, and no reason to see it returned to you.
The admins might or might not support your oorp claim on these ships for whatever reason, but RP wise it makes sense that under these conditions of civil war and your persecution of these outcasts that they and their ships would end up in other factions.

How so? I don't own an OC destroyer, although I tempted to start up an oucast character and start flying one.
I'm trying to put my RP mind around these events.
Perfectly legally ID'd and tagged outcasts are under threat of attack by the 101st if they don't give up their legally owned cap ships, obviously RP wise that can only be a civil war.
These cap ship captains and their crews are being driven out of outcast space from this persecution.
The natural result is outcast cap ships that are now outside of outcast influence as these ex outcast make their homes elsewhere. Probably not with the hated corsairs, but certainly within other factions.
