Darius stood up from his bed in the cell and approached the door. "Call the Admiral here, I wish to speak with him." The guard hit the door in attempt to scare Darius a bit, but he did not even flinch. "I take no orders from a prisoner." Darius frowned and let out a sigh. "Just do it. It might get fun while he is here." The guard at that point calmed down a bit. "Hail Admiral Sader. Tell him that the prisoner wants to talk to him."
Darius got serious all of a sudden. "2 things I require. First one is a question on when will the court be. The second one is that I need someone to defend me and I want that to be my choice." Darius smirked at the end of that and leaned on the wall near the door.
"I see. Well there is no exact time for the trial yet." He sighed. "As for your defender. You may hire a civilian lawyer but in case you can't or don't you may request someone from JAG.
"Actally. Heh. I want a friend of mine to defend me. I think that is good enough." Darius turned his head to the door. And yea. My journal is on the manta. Would you mind bringing it to me? I would not ask you if I could go there myself."
[indent]"A friend of yours? Unless he is a lawyer with license to practice in Liberty your friend can't represent you. I hope he is. In this case tell me his name and i will contact him personally."
"Tsk. I wanted the Blackguard leader to defend me. She knows me inside out and is the only person I trust. She is capable as a defender, but holds no license. The law is not giving me a chance to defend myself."
He sighed again. "The law gives you legal accepted ways to defend yourself. This is not somekind of duel where you choose your champion who represents you. And i have an important meeting where i need to attend in 10 minutes so enjoy your stay." Sader turns arround and walks out from the brig.
Darius stood there for a moment and then remembered. "Wait. I do have someone. Guy works with them too, but has a Sirius-wide license. Contact The Blackguard leader and she will send him here. No other way to get to him. And add a small part to the message: 'Talk to the one who saw me first'. Thanks." Darius sat back on his bed and waited.
The door of the courtroom opened up and 3 marines walked out of it, fully armed in exosuits the heavy footsteps echoed through the corridors of the place. The marines were followed by Darius who just recieved the sentence of the court. Behind him another 6 marines escorted the prisoner out from the room back to his cell. Sader left the courtroom and went to his office doing some paperwork he still had to finish before Darius's transfer to his new home away from home.
4 hours later...
The door of the brig opened and Sader walked in and slowly approached the holding cell of Darius. "So traitor. This is the end of the line. You've been found guilty for resisting arrest, murdering a navy marine, military espionage, abusing the rank you had in order to get your assosiates to important positions, you also abused your rank in order to aquire the equipment you required to carry out an assasination including but not limited to weapons and spaceships. On top of that you lied and mislead the navy by altering your biography, co-operated with known terrorists and other fugitives, you also showed no sign of regret. And thus the court martial sentenced you for 500 years of prison aboard Faribanks. If you are lucky you will die within 1 month there." He lights a cigarette. "But i wondered. Do you have anything to say? You know i could make it easier for you. Just say the word.
