Report Begins

I got to perform my first Patrol in New York just 2 days ago. I must admit I felt a bit nervous at first, so much that I forgot to eat a Donut I had bought earlier! Luckily for me, the Captain of [HF]-Crimson.2 was there to lead and guide me through all of it.

When i got to New York there were already two Liberty Navy fighters spouting their non-sense to [HF]-Crimson.2 and friend of ours named Eric.Meyer. Engagements followed soon after.
I tried my best to follow [HF]-Crimson.2's orders, and I think overall everything went pretty well. I even managed to make fireworks out of one of them.

Later that same day, we saw a Liner being robbed by some Outcasts, we promptly got rid of them and the liner proceeded to safety. Job well done i might say!

That's all I have to report for today! Until next time.

A short summary of the newest promotions:

Fleet Admiral Derek Smith to Executive Commander, reason for this is the prolonged absence of the Lord Commander and the power vacuum that resulted needs to be filled. Former Executive Commander Markus Brass is anounced MIA, his fate is unknown.

Initiate George Dalton to PFC for his continously shown braveness in the face of daunting odds.

Initiate Kathleen Emmerson to PFC for good performance in the field, keep it up.

Liberty,

Never ceases to amaze me. Got the warning bells that a major incursion in California by the Gauls had started, namely at the Magellan gate. Navy signatures were in the half-dozen, but knowing their capabilities either they would be dead in ten to fifteen minutes or a stalemate would occur. So I did what every Legionnaire should.

Defend good ol' Liberty, fiery heart and all. So I grabbed one of standing-by bricks in Hesperia and showed the navy boys how we do it. One, two, three. A snub, a battle-transport (don't ask me) and a mighty fine Valor. Wouldn't mind getting my hands and eyes on those nacelles and exterior coupling links. A hunter got feisty, so I shot one of his weapons off, then the 5th , three or so, came piling in. Speaks volumes of their character, truly does. But that's me, ever hopeful. Fury came to assist and managed to keep them off my fat behind until I managed to dock. And for what I've heard, Fury shot down a hunter and managed to scare the 5th failures away.

All in all, job done, got the secondary power array on the Waran to fix and a cold beer waiting for me.

Libera te Ex Infernis,
Dagon.

Report Begins

Picked up my new ship in Vespucci, and decided to put her through a trial by fire. I flew into New York, and during my patrol, I encountered one of the Primary Fleet pilots. Naturally, I put him down so I could continue my patrol. Unfortunately, an impending Ion storm has forced me to RTB earlier than liked. Unfortunately I forgot to scan him, but I did capture the most important guncam.

Report Begins

*cleans her throat* So, ehm. *speaks slowly and carefully* Yesterday's p-patrol was long and successful... I'd say. It's begun at Hesperia outpost in California system, where C-captain Smith with a very heavy fighter and I with my bomber departed from and headed to the P-pennsylvania system. A couple of DSE transports was sighted at Philladelphia station and a few freelancers and m-miners were lurking around planet Erie. Nothing to d-deal with was found, so the next stop was the America station... I mean the America freeport, my apologies, In the- *takes a peek at a paper with the whole message written in it* Kansas system, right. The patrol was c-continued in the Texas system, but it was also empty. We returned back to Kansas and Captain Smith took his bomber from the Hesperia outpost. *reading straight from the paper from now on* We were about to enter New York, the capital ship paradise. A moment after entering the New York systrm, Captain Smith was already being shot at. It took me a while to get there, because I had to pass the Pennsylvania system. We met each other in the badlands along with *skips a line* really fried! Oh no! I skipped a line, my bad. We met each other in the badlands along with two navy gunboats and one bomber. We had no mercy and took the first, kusari gunboat down with our antimatter cannons. They were getting really fried! Even a bounty hunter, who arrived shortly after the first gunboat got destroyed, learnt a lesson. Unfortunately, fighters started comming making fighting with our bombers problematic. I was impatient and got shot down. *blushes in shame* Captain Smith luckily escaped to the Pennsylvania system and got in touch with a legionare flying in a fighter. She took care of one of the remaining two fighters and the second one ran away after seeig her great ability to fight. One casuality on our side, five on theirs' side. I'd consider this as a successful raid.

Legionnaires,

This is my first announcement as your new Executive Commander, following a unanimous decision by the Commonwealth to appoint me. I will be operating as your interim first-in-command.

Moving on, I see professionalism and raw talent from people who evidently deserve recognition. Initiate Eik and PFC Emmerson, you've gone beyond my initial expectations. And as such, I am promoting the both of you to the ranks of Private First Class and Lieutenant respectively, this is effective immediately, and I'm awarding Eik with their Burning Wings. The both of you have done well out there, but you've also just raised the bar for yourselves.

To everyone else, there's still a war to fight and one that won't fight itself. I'll expect to see more successful reports regarding damage to Republic and criminal assets, let them know the meaning of Retribution.

Libera te Ex Infernis,
Dalgaard.

Since the Bona is in for repairs indefinitely, I decided to take out a recent acquisition, a fighter I've named the Stryker. Figured it'd be good to field test it, and went out for a patrol. Pretty uneventful really, went to California, ran into some Rogue patrols, but nothing major. Went up through California with just a few contacts, which tried to run away from me. They didn't get away, the Stryker is a fast little ship, and effective too. Tractored their escape pods in and brought them to Guadalajara for lock up.

Pretty uneventful really, but the Stryker performed admirably.

This patrol was far more interesting than the last one. I took the Konocti gunboat out for a patrol and had a bit of an adventure.

I encountered some Outcasts and gave chase all the way to the Coronado system. Seems they were heading to an independent station called the "Barrier Gate". No matter, they didn't make it there. I stopped at the station for a quick trip for supplies, and as I was leaving I encountered something very peculiar. An OSC ships tagged as "weaponsofmassseduction", whatever that means. More interestingly, they were carrying SLAVES.

Upon interrogation of the ship's captain, he claimed to be on some sort of crazy fetish cruise, and that the passengers listed as slaves were playing some sort of sick game. No matter, as a cruiser of the Crayter Republic showed up, piloted by Captain Selina. She demanded that the pilot release the slaves, and he did not comply. She was forced to open fire, and I assisted in liberating the slaves. Captain Selina took the slaves and released them to medical evaluations so they may be set free, and released the VIPs for questioning.

After this, Captain Selina was kind enough to escort me out of the system. A real nice woman that Selina, and Coronado is a beautiful system. We should really be doing more to create diplomatic ties with them. No matter, I think I will send a request to them for access to the system so that I may help with some odd jobs there. Couldn't hurt relations at least.

That's all for now. SIgning off.

I decided to do another recon run through New York, and in doing so had the chance to test my skills against two more of the primary fleet pilots, both of which proved to be unprepared for the encounter. Aside from this, nothing to report.

Initiate Steel,

I'm certain that if you inquire closely enough, you'll find that initiates are not given clearance to command gunboats. I'm going to write this violation off on pure ignorance, but please don't do it again. As an Initiate, you're restricted to the strike-craft we produce and some of the aging Naval tech at our disposal.

If you do wish to command larger vessels, you may prove yourself capable like our other pilots are in the process of doing. I hope this was completely clear to you.

Libera te Ex Infernis,
Dalgaard.
