He laughed ''Empty? we can't have that'' he waved to the bar man again who made up two more drinks before the waiter brought them over. ''He raised his glass ''Here's to you coming home...and to a lovely woman''


His phone beeped thre times and he glanced at it. ''It would appear that the Outcasts have accepted my agreement'' he said looking back at her.

Edith turned red again at William's comment. He's hitting on me, isn't he? she thought to herself, and smiled with the corner of her mouth, careful to make sure he didn't notice.
She also soon noticed the beeps, and looked at him curiously, sipping her third mojito.

"Is that so? Speak of the devil!" she stated and chuckled slightly.
"So, they're going to want to see you or something?"

He sipped his whiskey, ''I don't think so, but i'll make the trip up to go and see them on the weekend, for now however, if you have no objections, I'll stay here. And I have to ask, How is liberty currently? what with the war and All?''

He observed the flush in her cheeks whenever he mentioned her attractivness, perhaps not something she was used too or expecting Better keep reminding her then he thought.

[Mushy]

"Liberty, Liberty..." she pondered, "Well, to be honest, it looks okay so far, but it's pretty hectic there. While they are not as affected by the war as Bretonia is, they have to deal with daily nuisances that makes Liberty seem less of a peaceful house than Bretonia. It's kind of ironic to be honest. It is a hotbed of pirate activity too. You want to see a pirate of any kind? Liberty's got them all."

She looked around the bar for a while, looking at the other patrons and the way the bar was decorated.

"I have to admit I always preferred my home over Liberty. It's some sort of a national pride that keeps me reminding this was always my home."

''Well you know how it goes, You can take the person out of Bretonia but you can't take the Bretonian out of the person, cliche as it sounds i've found it pretty true thus far.'' He took anothing drink ''On that note, what say you about Libertonians? what are your thoughts regarding them?''

"Libertonians? They are kind of like us, aren't they? Just like us, they are also very proud people. They are successful and they aren't afraid to show it. They definitely have a different culture and way of life, and everything feels so very corporate."

She giggled a bit, and resumed her thoughts, "You know, if I didn't like them, I'd frequently make crude jokes about how career-minded they usually are. The moment a vessel flies out of Erie or Manhattan, chances are, they're not even going to talk to you. They'll just cruise right past you, onwards to their new business meeting."

"It feels like this in Interspace too. All business, all about the dosh."

He shook his head a little. Bloody Libertonians he thought. So far as he was concerned, anyone who didn't laugh was to be avoided and Libertonians hardly laughed. Still, she was right about one thing, they knew how to make coin.

''I suppose that's true, all credit to them.....literally. You make any good friends there? or are they all just business partners?''

Edith nodded.
"As a matter of fact, I did! There's always a bunch of pretty talkative and friendly freelancers, and I consider one a friend of mine. She comes to Bretonia here and there."

The mojitos were slowly making her a bit drowsy. She took the last sip of her third mojito, and set the glass down on the table.
"Alrighty, no more mojitos. As refreshing as they are, I think I had enough of them for today," she said and chuckled.

''I see, well if she is ever here she is more than welcome to get a drink here whenever she wants.'' He finished his whiskey and placed the glass on the table. ''I'm afriad my curiosity had gotten the better of me, are you....in a relationship of any kind''

He knew as soon as he asked he shouldn't have done. He swore at himself at side at asking such an invasive and blatant question. Still he had asked and looked at her in an attempt to gage her reaction.

Abigail Taylor walked up to the bar door and sighed, then opened it. There was talking about, but she didn't recognize the voices right off. She walked up to the bar counter and cleared her throat. She was 31, wearing her formal clothes, and was acting more on the shy side.
"Excuse me sir, may I have a Liberty Ale?" she asked, politely. He replied with a nod and grabbed her one. She handed him 2000 credits, and took the drink. She looked around the bar, trying to see where to sit. She decided she was going to sit by the counter, in one of the empty booth seats.
