Server Downtime (Updated: Catastrophic VM error)

The Server will be down for a short time whilst we do some essential maintenance.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we will have it back as soon as we can

The server's VM has encountered a read/write error earlier today that was sneaky enough not to be noticed by our team until it was too late.

A hour ago this became bad enough for player files not to be updated and written over and, as we found out just now, it started before today's mornings backup. We restored the character and base files from a backup made on the 30th of March, effectively ending up with the last day and a half of activity being lost.

This error has not touched any of your forum data as it exists on a separate machine.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope that next year's April fools will be a bit more funny rather than depressing.
