She relaxed a little, and was glad he didn't press the issue. "No, not really. I didn't have many friends growing up on Leeds. I had more enemies than friends," she replied.

''Seems to me like you have had a rather....colourful past. I mean, you've had love and heartbreak, frustration and success. I hope i'm not being forward but it does seem like some of these emotions need....airing. It isn't my place to judge, so do tell me if I step out of line but..have you ever considered telling anyone everything?''

He bit his tounge while he waited for her response.

"Yes, well, nobody has ever asked. And as I said, I would tell you, but," she looks around, then leans in. "But not here in public, in a bar."

He raised an eyebrow at that. ''Very well...is there a particular place you wish to talk then?''

Well, this doesn't sound so bad, she thought. "Well, I don't really have a particular place in mind, but someplace where most people cannot hear. I don't want others to think ill of me because of my past," she said, keeping leaned in and whispering slightly.

''I won't think ill of you my dear. But I know a place, wait here.'' He said getting up and wandering over to a man at a nearby table.

The man sitting at the table was, in point of fact, Williams boss. He gave the man a gentle tap before leaning down an saying hello. ''Good evening sir, always nice to see you. I will be brief, may I trouble you for 'the key'...to the back room.''

She leaned back in her chair, and picked up her glass of ale and swirled it around, looking at the bubbles. Her heart rate went up a tad. Wow, I—Is this— she thought, but the thought never formed completely. She set the ale glass down and thought for a bit, waiting for William to come back.

*Clark turns to William as he makes his request, the corporate attorney had become a part of the furniture over the past few months and Clark had somewhat of an admiration for him.* "Of course Mr steiner" *He says as he gives a nod to Jim, as if it was almost without thought, showing his trust in the man,*

Jim handed William the key before returning to the bar.
''Thank you mister Clark'' William said returning to Abby.

He wandered over to her, ''Come with me my dear. We'll go someplace quiet.''
