Are outcast cap ships now open to any ID?

ahem, i was shot after others had seen me rp'ing in it. ask teflon, he was there as the BLS, and the next day when i launch, the 101st just starts shooting. perhaps my rping isnt the best yet, but all i got was fired at, not nudged, shoved, coaxed, or threated into better rp'ing.

Also, I observed him RP'ing and everything was fine, no failure in the aerosolizers whatsoever.

It does matter, as the roleplay (in my opinion, no offence) of a smuggler buying a battleship sounded silly.

It was obviously found to be illogical by the Outcast factions, also.

the question if a smuggler can afford/ get a battleship - when he is deeply outcast affilitated is not subject of the outcast factions to decide. - if the smuggler has an outcast ID, IFF and acts outcast... he must be allowed. ( maybe not the dreadnaught as its really "only" sold at corsica, but any other warship in a public system... however if the dreadnaught can be locked out is igiss decission how much he wants freelancer and how much he wants factionlancer )



rejecting cause the origin is a smuggler is judging over someones RP that is by the rules otherwise flawless. - if however he does not act like an outcast captain of a big warship should act "in terms of how much does he serve the purpose of the outcasts" - then it can be shot down.



again, exceptions are what make the game more interesting, and many players have skimmed the very edge of whats acceptable to develope unique and accepted roleplay.



btw. i do not agree with the idea that the warships are produced in a guard system and can be restricted in a public system, too. - it does make sense of course, but puts too much power on guard owners ( order, zoners, img, hessians, bhg etc )



public systems must remain public with all they offer. no matter how messed up some purchse locations are... a guard faction should not have the right to rule over public systems much. slight RP rules are good, deep cuts into the players freedom should be restricted to guard systems only, and not to any adjacent systems that are vanilla.

edit: i am slightly torn there - from what i hear, the registration is really only a registration and not a patronizing or bossing around. - no problem there, but the amount of power claimed is a bit much. even if its in responsible hands.

The RP was there. It would have put an interesting spin on things as well, considering the wealth the 101st stood to gain if Corsica's mechanics and engineers were to put together Mazdamack's craft.

what is this 'power' you keep talking about?

what were doing in completely with in RP.
were the the main military force for the outcasts, is it really that hard to believe that we would want a record of who is piloting our destroyers(ie, the registration) and why are you making it sound like such an injustice that we ask you to spend a few minutes and post a sentence regarding your destroyer? god forbid you miss out on a few seconds of pwnig those BHG NPCs.

now if you want a battleship or a dreadnought. again its apparently such an injustice to make up a story(if youre not good at it, ask for help or at least show your putting in some effort to rp)
and stop pulling this "why do you decide who's RP is good and who's is bad" cause so far we have only gotten ONE request for a dreadnought and it was really good, but he wanted it to protect his business first and malta second...so it was denied.

and you keep claiming this PVP whore crap. were asking you to put in some good(effort into) RP in getting these ships, and the way we see it, if your not willing to do in in the forums, then youre just going to be some 'tard n00b' with a big ship ingame.

The reason I asked is that if you asked them for a ship, got shot down on the forums (they told you to scrap it or they'd do it for you...), they kind of told you what they would do in-game. So, that's a lot better than, say, what the Rheinland Military would do to you. The 101st had a look and said no, when you disobeyed their request, they responded appropriately. If you ask a faction if you can do something, and they tell you no, then you do it, well, what are they supposed to do? Un-say no?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but you might have had better luck trying to talk it out in-game first.
